Does saying a person's name repeatedly mean anything?

There are people who never say your name, others will do it repeatedly, even in a casual conversation or through voice messages. What do you think this means? I’d say there’s a certain bond, a connection that may go deeper than a casual friendship. It's certainly something I wouldn't do with everyone.

This is interesting. For women in particular, I do reserve name addressing for those I feel close to. I would say hi to any other girl, but say “hello, Kimberly” if she's a girl I like. Both verbally and written (eg text message)

in a professional setting I discover knowing people’s names has a significant impact on their perception of me and improves my relationships with my peers, managers, and subordinates, who find me more personable and relatable. It has similar effect in personal or romantic relationships

some of the responses here suggest this is a manipulative strategy. Maybe it is- I never thought of it in that way. It’s true- I know for myself and I think for a lot of people in general, we like to hear our name because it calls uniqueness to us and unconsciously feels good. So I do it intentionally to make the other person feel special and good

I agree, especially with what you say in the first paragraph. A friend of mine says my name maybe once in every 10 sentences. She does it while texting as well. It does make you feel good and special. Or maybe that's wishful thinking :)
