Anyone else struggling with missing someone that is no longer with us on earth 🌎?

Today I am really feeling extremely emotional and missing my late boyfriend Patrick John. He was the one who made Christmas 🎄🎁 around our home.

It's so unfair that he died when he didn't have to, along with hundreds of thousands of other people that were poisoned with Fentanyl. Mostly children.

So today and tomorrow are especially hard for people like me to get through.

My heart ❤️ goes out to others that are missing someone special during this holiday season.✝️😔

I'm sorry you're feeling that pain. They say that the holidays are the hardest time for those who've lost someone special. For me it's my mother who died last year and my father 5 years ago. I took care of both of them in their final years and even though they're gone a long time now the pain still remains.

And yes it's harder this time of year when it's dark most of the day and freezing cold and everyone all around is celebrating holidays.

But you get two choices. You can either give up or keep moving. And I choose to keep moving. So that's what I will do until I can move no more.

Happier days are ahead. You just have to hang on until they arrive.

I don't want to sound so cliche however, I am really sorry for the loss of both of your parents.
I hardly knew my father because he abandoned us when I was only 4 years old. He never paid his child support either.
I didn't know that he died in 2021 because my 1/2 brother didn't bother to call me and let me know. So I sent a Christmas card to both my father and his wife. She sent me a Christmas card that I received a few days ago and she was the one who told me. I felt bad sending my card to both of them but she said my card cheered her up, so that's good.
I got through today okay, now I just have to get through tomorrow and then I am going to kick up my heels 👠 and start the new year.🎊🕛 🎈🇺🇸

And I'm sorry about your dad. Even after what he did to you I can imagine that must have been a terrible shock. You had a difficult life but look how far you've come. It's always darkest before the dawn. Things will come together, just hang in there.

I remember you posting about that on here. How sad. Was that about a year ago?

We lost mom just short of 3 years ago, and still missing her. My brother lost his girlfriend to cancer about 2 months before we lost mom, so he is having a bit of a tough time.

Yes, he went to heaven on September 8th of last year. This is my second Christmas without him.😔
And you lost your Mom there years ago. It saddens my heart to learn about this because I know that it's causing you pain still and maybe for ever. We always kinda knew that our parents were going to go before us but nothing prepared you for when it happens.
And your brother's girlfriend lost her battle with cancer. ♋ How sad for him. My Patrick John died suddenly and very fast. He was poisoned with Fentanyl. I wasn't even with him when he died. He was in our apartment building, but in an empty apartment helping one of the disabled residents clean up the apartment for him when he was poisoned. So he died all alone with me right down the hallway and I didn't even know it. I still live in the same apartment building and every time I get in the freight elevator to go somewhere, I can't stand to be in there because it was the last place that he was before the coroner took him outside and drove off with my Patrick 😞.
My point is that I am not sure which one is worse. Watching someone you love die slowly in front of you or suddenly and don't even get to say "So long. See you in heaven". 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am at the family house right not visiting for Christmas. Right next to me is a photo of my mom. Good memories of her.

The holidays can be hard for some people. Christmas. Thanksgiving. New Years. Easter and the list goes on. For people who have suffered loss or rejection by their family. Some people don’t have a lot of people left as well as the memories of years past.

Yeah my dad just died like 9 months ago and my mom died about 7 and 1/2 8 months ago

my dad-pasted away a yr or 2 years ago? We love him dearly… but we know he is in a good place now.
we had a good childhood friend who perished in one of the twin towers 911. I think of him sometimes because he had such great future ahead of him, our only HS kid who got a full ride to cooper Union, a fiancé, an only son from an elder immigrant couple , a great future working for Cantor Fitzgerald … when I heard a phone call from our group friend, I knew it was bad news about Eugene… I think if his elderly parents losing an only child… that’s painful…

we learn to accept life… and thank what we have… and move on for a better day.

So many gone but you keep moving along. Whenever I see someone mention their mourning of a loss I really feel it for some reason and my heart goes out to you. It's so hard, so very difficult, not words to describe the pain effectively.

Yes, I remember you telling us about his passing away. Weren't you planning on going to visit him but just never seemed to be able to?
I guess we think of the memories we have with them. I can't even listen to Elvis Presley's song "Memories" ot Barbara Strisen's song "The way we were" because it makes me think of my Patrick John 💔

He moved to North Carolina 4 years ago. and we did not see each other in a while. I told him i would buy him a steak dinner before he move dbut Covid got so cray and the next thing I knew he was gone. I plan of going to Florida next year and wanted to stop on the way to see him. Now I guess I will just drive straight through.
