The respectful thing to do is tell them with words , don’t just assume they can read your mind. That sadly makes you a selfish person that has no dignity or respect for anyone but yourself. Just tell them how you feel and tell them you are no longer happy being in the relationship with them anymore , and that you no longer love them , you fell out of Love and you are moving on. If you are nervous to do it in person , then dump them over the phone. Because stringing someone along for your selfish benefit, is an immature way to end things with someone. Give them a reason as to why you fell out of love so they can move on as well.
