I heard someone say this once and on surface it seemed ableist and then I decided to dig deeper and discovered this

To say that a neurotypical person dating someone autistic "historically doesn't work" is not entirely accurate; while there can be significant challenges in such relationships due to communication differences and social cues, many neurotypical-autistic couples can have successful partnerships with open communication and understanding, so it's not a universal rule that such relationships will fail
