Women hands down. No contest.
That doesn't mean that men can't be compassionate. I'd consider myself a compassionate person. But if we're generalizing; It's women by a mile.
I think women tend to be a little more compassionate, usually because they're taught that they're supposed to be. Remember, it's what's taught to you, not necessarily what you're born as
I think they're more compassionate because of nature. A mother has to be compassionate with a newborn baby or it won't survive. I think women are programmed to be compassionate for that reason. It's a natural survival mechanism of the species.
If that were true, then everyone would be the same way. It's not what you're born with, it's what you're taught
I don't agree with that. Nature creates individuals with wide variation, but nonetheless each gender of a species is more likely to exhibit behaviors specific to that gender. As with all species, there are some outliers who don't follow the natural path. But evolution can deal with that even when individuals deviate from normal behavior. As long as a sufficient proportion of individuals exhibit the normal traits that nature intended for them, the species will survive.
Well, we can agree to disagree, how about that

How are we defining compassion? Is it compassionate to coddle someone in his or her refusal to take accountability? Is it compassionate to take from some by force in order to give to those who refuse to work?
For women it is more natural as compared to men
This is not a gender thing this is individual thing. It may be more socially acceptable for women to wear thier compassion. But that doesn't make them any more compassionate than men. And a lot of them who wear it is actually just an act.
My father was far more compassionate than my mother. Only one data point.
Depends on the person, not on their gender.
I only know that I am not
I think it's more down to the individual.
