Middle Aged to Late in life men :No kids No relationship?

I hear women side of things, I want to hear men's perspective on how you think you're life is going without any children or spouse. Are you fulfilled? Are you missing something? Is it by choice? Or is it a strategic move?

Fulfilled enough. Am I missing something? I've got God, and people who care about me in life. In that sense no I'm not missing anything. But would I like a relationship? I think naturally speaking that's most people's drive. My heart has always been open but I'm not sure I have it in me anymore. I've been here almost 50 years. I think my response if a woman came into my life at this point would be, "where were you 30 years ago". I've built by myself and I have a lot to lose at this point to waste my time on a woman who considers me her 2nd, 3rd or 100th choice. And I'm nobody's second choice. I guess at this point I'd rather be single for the right reasons than with someone for the wrong ones.

I am not fulfilled, no. Life feels kinda pointless when you recognize your own mortality, and that there is no one to pass on the torch to.

For me, I for sure made the choice not to have kids with certain women I dated. However, I would argue that I rarely if ever dated a woman I actually had romantic feelings for.

I have just never really had the courage or skill or attractiveness to achieve that.
