Is it true that girls actually don't want to be in a relationship?

I ran an experiment where I went out online and asked a whole bunch of girls why they aren't in a relationship. And their first reaction was that they're not looking for one. They're busy working on themselves or whatever. I have almost never ran into a girl that says he's looking for a relationship.

And the girls that were in a relationship when I ask them were they looking for one before they got into one. And their answer was "no. It just happened"

So you can actually deduce that women don't actually want relationships and the only reason they're in them is because A man convinced her to be in one.

Coming from a girl who looked and expressed it. There are two things that must be prioritized time and energy. I'll say I'm not looking for a guy because I got the memo from my experience. That guys do not want girls chasing them. I've heard that guys are the hunters and it's in their blood to know the one. I would think those mindsets are pretty outdated, but c'est la vie. I think about someone I might be attracted to, but it ain't an assumption that he'll like me back. It's like I'm on a balance beam between looking clueless and dreaming.

Because if you believe that guys don't mind if girls approach them then they puts pressure on you to actually have something interesting to say. Society has been won and no one needs a relationship thanks mainly to the men doing the hard graft of providing essential services to keep people in the things they need. That women have been pushed into the workforce and can earn their own living means they don't have a reason to have a man in their lives and can therefore expect more than previous generations of women would have wanted to start a family and build a home.
Then there's social media with toxic advice influencers spouting obnoxious antisocial messages that don't promote being a kind and compassionate person to potential partners. The all about me mentality has taken over many young people's love lifes.

Well this depends on the woman let’s be clear not all women are the same. Not to mention just because ones not currently looking for a relationship doesn’t mean in the future she won’t be.

Personally, I would rather have a woman who just genuinely wants to be with me not desperate for a relationship… any relationship. Wanting a free ride in life, wanting certain things like a family, etc. Wanting to have a family is amazing don’t get me wrong however at the same time but I don’t want someoem to onlt want me to have babies with and then leave me later in life.

Relationships should happen when someone’s ready.

You see, this is an example of someone who is ultra picky. And chances are, this isn't his only criteria.

Most people get married when it is time to get married. Most people understand that they can't play the field forever. At some point in life, they know they will get old ugly and undesirable, dick will stop working, illnesses will start to kick in. And they know they will need people by their side. This doesn't mean they dont value or love their spouses. It just means that they know its better to die being supported, cared for and loved than to die all alone, lonely and neglected.

I’ve met *so* many women who desperately want a serious relationship. If you go onto hinge or bumble, you can filter anyone who wants something serious/long-term. I think maybe there’s less shame in hookup culture these days so that’s why you probably hear more about it (instead of like in the 80s yaknow?) I think so. I don't think they ever did, culture forced it on them just to survive. Modern society allows them to live apart from men and that's what they do. They find a man and stay with him long enough to have a couple of babies. Once those babies are grown enough they kick the man aside and let the government support their kids. They also take as much of the man's possessions as they can, his home, money, child support anything else they can get. I would say timing has a lot to do with it. A guy I was dating when I was 19 and he was 24 started talking about marriage. I was very happy with our dating life, but in university and not nearly ready to consider marriage. If he had given me a couple of more years, I might very well might have said yes. Part of the reason may be that motherhood saddles women with several hours of additional housework while men have it easier - even though more men are contributing to household chores.

Another reason is the cost of child care. It makes earning a paycheck difficult to justify if a large percentage of that goes to babysitting.

Probably more reasons that I can point to, but the industrial world has a declining birth rate, and that will be a problem 20 years from now, but that’s a story for another day. 😊

Not looking for one is different than not being open to one. So, I wouldn't say a guy convinced her to be in one. A guy wanted one and she was open to being in one but wasn't actively looking for it. If it appears, then it appears. I'm not looking for rabbits in my yard, but sometimes they are there, and I see them. That doesn't mean I'm actively trying to find them.

That would be a position of privilege. Like for instance, I'm not looking to be a millionaire but I'm open to people giving me money for no other reason than the fact that I'm open to it. That's not the same as actually wanting to be a millionaire. The same would apply to a woman in relationship just because she's open to one one doesn't mean it's something she actually Will get one. Because just like the money thing, men are more likely to give a girl a relationship if she puts in just as much effort as he does.
