He'd better have a provable and good reason for that. I never ever ghosted my long distance lover when I was in a long distance relationship. Even when things were rough for me (not because of her) and I needed space i'd tell her up front and reassured her it wasn't because of her. And then that never lasted more than a day or two, and if in extreme cases it did i'd check in with her during.
