Trending & News Women stay in unhappy marriages because they believe they can change their partner. Men stay in unhappy marriages so someone can take care of them. Neither of these is good, but it’s more accurate than saying it’s finances which get objectively worse after marriage
If you ever actually leave the house and talk to people, you would know that is utter bullshit.
My aim on GAG is to decode relationships and call out the hidden red flags and realities in love.
I agree, that’s a pretty fair assumption. Money is a huge reason people don’t leave. Divorce, rent, kids, lawyers, splitting assets… it’s expensive. Many people aren’t *in love*, they’re financially stuck. It’s more “roommate energy” than romance, but they stay to avoid chaos, debt, and starting over alone.
