Well, marriage between first cousins is allowed in many countries, a blanket ban on such relationships is not feasible.

My main concern would be the risk of birth defects in the offsprings resulting from such relationships; however, if I'm not mistaken the risk of birth defects isn't much higher than the risk experienced by unrelated parents. It's also significantly lower than if the parents were to be siblings.

Should it be banned? I don't see any tangible reason as to why it should be. Is it weird though? Yes.
