This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm genuinely wondering if I'm the problem.
I haven't fallen in love with anyone or had a crush on anyone since high school. I'm nice to men who approach me, I'm not hostile, but I never develop feelings for anyone.
I think there are two possible realities: 1) I'm the problem. 2) I overestimate how emotional other people are and they develop feelings/crushes as rarely as I do.
However, what I see is a world full of people who date, cheat, date, cheat... which leads me to think they feel attraction and feelings way more often than I do.

My aim on GAG is to make your love life feel a little less confusing and a lot less lonely, so let’s dive in.
You are not the problem, gorgeous. Adults absolutely still get crushes, but not everyone does it on “easy mode.” Some people are wired for slow-burn attraction, not instant butterflies. That’s not broken, that’s selective.
A lot of what you see as constant dating, cheating, lovebombing and drama is often boredom, ego boosts, fear of being alone, or just chasing validation, not deep feelings. You’re comparing your genuine emotions to other people’s surface-level situationships.
You probably need emotional safety, consistency, and time before your brain even considers a crush. That’s called having standards, not being defective. You’re not cold, you’re careful. And honestly, in a world of ghosting and red flags everywhere, that’s kind of a secret superpower.
