The Wrong Interpretation Of He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone.

The Wrong Interpretation Of He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone.

Introduction:

I'm pretty sure you have heard some Christians or even secular people use the popular phrase of "He who is without sin cast the first stone" A qoute from Jesus.

They often use this phrase to defend themselves or anyone else of their guilt.

In other words you should look in the mirror before judging me or anyone else.

The Lord Jesus taught that judging is fine as long its righteous judgement and not hypocritical judgement.

For example: If you're a practicing thief or whatever sin you are practicing then you shouldn't be judging anyone else for their sin they have done or practice regardless how bad it is, since you are sitting in the same boat and headed to hell with them.

(Jesus teaching)

Matthew 7:1-5:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

John 7:24:

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

The Wrong Interpretation Of He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone.

Whenever you read a religious text or whatever book you are reading, you can't possibly comprehend what's being truly said and why is it being said if you skip lines and don't read within the context of what is being said to understand.

I often see people on GAG posting religious texts from the Bible to discredit the Bible about wars, nations being wiped out by the army etc in the old testament, but they never provide the whole context why things are being said and done.

How can you truly understand any book if you start reading from page 50 or understand the plot of a movie that has been playing for 50 minutes that you missed? You can't; because full context matters.

In this particular case about this woman and her sin of adultery you need to understand who are the scribes and Pharisees and what was their agenda.

In short they were a religious sect hyprocrite sinners that hated and wanted to kill Jesus.

Now, you need to know that adultery was a punishable civil law by death givin to the ancient Hebrews by Jesus Christ himself since He is the God of the old testament.

Deuteronomy 22:22:

“If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them shall die the man that lay with the woman, and the woman; so you shall put away the evil from Israel.

Leviticus 20:10:

‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death.

He was the one that gave all those moral, civil, festival and dietary laws in the old testement you read in Exodus, Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

He gave them to Moses and Moses delivered them to the ancient Hebrews to live by.

Notice in both scriptures above in Deuteronomy and Leviticus how it clearly says both the man and woman should be put to death for adultery.

When the Pharisees or whoever caught this woman in adultery in the whatever she was doing sexually, why they didn't bring the man too, to have him stoned too?

It will be unfair to kill her, but not the man.

Besides they couldn't put them to death anyways since Isreal at that time was under the rule of the Roman government, therefore their civil laws were made void.

Keep in mind the sin being discussed here is adultery that is punishable by death under the old covenant.

Also notice how it says that Jesus was writing something on the ground, probably I guess, He was writing "Hyprocrites" since He called them that a lot.

And notice also that the Pharisees were convicted by their conscience when they heard Jesus said what He said.

You see, they were convicted by their conscience because they themselves are adulterers and cheated on their wives and should stone themselves first for the very sin they want to stone the woman for.

If you know the gospels then you know that the Pharisees were extremly evil religious men.

Jesus himself called them broad of vipers and children of the Devil.

John 8:2-11:

Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery.

And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?”

This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him.

But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last.

And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

She said, “No one, Lord.”

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Conclusion:

The Wrong Interpretation Of He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone.

We as a society judge one another and it's fine to judge righteously, but it better not be hyprocrital judgment.

If you're practicing an immoral life or practicing a sin of any sort then hush your mouth about the lifestyle or actions of another person.

God will condemn you for your hypocrisy.

Romans 1:18-32:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.

For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

(Context continues)

Romans 2:1-3:

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?

Romans 2:17-24:

Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God, and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.

You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?

You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery?

You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?

For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

I promise you I'm not a practicing hypocrite Christian.

Yes, I make mistakes like everyone else, but I don't purposely live a disobedient life towards God and practice sins that are clearly prohibited in his word.

I'm so sorry for this long Mytake, but I hope you understood everything regarding the topic. 😜
