There shouldn't be a war. Atheists shouldn't look down on people that have faith but they do. People should believe what they want and not face insults or be put down.

The key difference is - Atheists don't believe in God (s)/Goddess (es) - including other celestial or supernatural entities like the Devil (s), Angels, Demons etc. All other beliefs are individual in every Atheist.
Atheism is lack of belief in deities/gods. But they can believe in other supernatural things like ghosts, spirits, witches etc. if we're taking the definition literally.
@curiousnorway Exactly, that's what I meant. Ghost or a spirit can be described like a released bio-electricity (projected by human mind). I don't consider Witches as a supernatural entities, unless you mean those from fairy tales. Real Witches are just pagan or pantheist practitioners of magic - scientifically called Psychotronics (using psionic/psychic powers).
God has stated he will only give one proof that he exists, His creation in all its glory, diversity, and vastness... I just agree to disagree with atheists, as long as they are respectful so am I.
@ScottieO, no I'm a clown, a big, fat cosmic clown. But at least I'm not a sad little butthurt boy who can't stand the idea that he isn't infallible and doesn't know all there is to know.
I think most atheists readily admit they don't know the truth. Including me. But apparently you lack the nuance to understand that that's the case? It's the religious who proclaim certainty. Jesus IS the Son of God, it is the only way, and my faith is UNSHAKABLE. That's a claim many Christians would agree with right there. Atheists say, well, I'm not so convinced. The evidence, to me, is underwhelming. That is hardly arrogant.
@ScottieO, you just proved my point. You are so egotistical and arrogant that you are psychologically incapable of stepping back from your stupid little private war against the "theists", even for a femtosecond.
Likewise, someone who is unconvinced has also not formed an opinion either way. That's not the same as making the positive statement "There is no God."
@ScottieO No, you simply misunderstand the religious. I cannot prove that God exists. I can not create an experiment to show you that God created all you see and know.
But I can ask for you to have faith.
Somehow you have taken a Christian's request of you to have faith for scientific evidence.
The two are not the same. Not even in the slightest.
The odd thing is, atheists do have faith. They simply have faith that there is no God.
Roland - Theists *routinely* and *explicitly* claim not that it's a matter of faith, but that the *evidence* is also on their side. If you follow this issue at all you know this is true.
You have no evidence for the existence of God nor do you have evidence for His non-existence. With respect to the subject of God, your opinion matters very little. Since your opinion from your own viewpoint, is only based upon what you can prove or disprove. You will never be able to prove or disprove your theory.
And in the realm of faith, your opinion does not matter at all. Because you have no faith. You have no beliefs. You only have the things you can prove or disprove. To venture out pass this limitation, is illogical, from the viewpoint of most rational human beings.
You have no evidence for the existence of unicorns nor do you have evidence for their non-existence. With respect to the subject of unicorns, your opinion matters very little. Since your opinion from your own viewpoint, is only based upon what you can prove or disprove. You will never be able to prove or disprove your theory. I hope you can see why your point here isn't that strong.
@ScottieO You see, here you just are being illogical. Even if I took your argument at face value, I may not "believe" in unicorns, I would not worry about the people who did. Nor would I waste time try to disprove their existence like you are wasting your time trying to disprove the existence of God. People believe in all manner of weirdness. I have my beliefs and I have my reasons for my beliefs. And when I talk to people about my beliefs, according to what God tells me, I don't have worry about proving a single thing.
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Why are you anonymous? And. . . I tend to agree. But I don't try to invalidate atheists. I don't know why they try to claim they are superior to religious folks. As though "we" ignore logic and reason simply because we choose to have a belief Someone has given us a purpose for living.
Oh no, that one time I did lose respect. That's not anger, that's just an admission that I lost respect. I really am not emotionally attached to you in the way that you apparently think I am.

I meant witches who are using magic and flying on broomsticks.
@curiousnorway Oh, right, such witches are just tall tales, fantasies and myths :D

Yeah: Atheists are smug, self-satisfied, narrow-minded assholes while theists are narrow-minded, smug, self-satisfied assholes.
Well, some are. I just find it troubling that they find only find purpose in trying to destroy religion.
And what are you then? The rare, "woke" guy who sees everyone else's folly?

Today's self-styled "skeptic" has no clue what skepticism actually is.
That's part of the problem.

Everyone has the right to believe in what they want, unless that means "I am gonna make your life miserable".
Its pathetic to shit on other people's beliefs just to validate your own

Thanks for this take. It means a lot.
anyone who is an atheist at this point is stupid
its so easy to prove GOD Jesus Christ

Jesus didn't exist, only Satan.

Argument from ignorance.
And a response from anger.
:D
You have this strange notion that I'm always angry.
"I have lost all respect for you".
Yeah, that isn't an emotional statement. haha!
Mr. Spock is having a moment.
