Cost of Knowledge: Why Growth Should Be Slow

Cost of Knowledge: Why Growth Should Be Slow
This is a symbolic portrayal of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman in the bible who contaminated all their future children by tree of knowledge about food and evil.

The Price of Truth:

This week I made a major breakthrough in my study of the bible but instead of celebrating, I was mourning the difficult situation I perceived my family life to be, than I read a verse in the bible that explains the situation to me.

Ecclesiastes 1:18 in the Christian Bible says:

18 “… In much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow…” - Ecclesiastes 1:18

One idea I get from this verse is that the price of knowledge is sorrow. Knowledge is essential to life, both on earth and heaven, but the acquisition and product of new truth or information is sorrow and emotional pain, which is why truth must be gained gradually and incrementally, so you do not become overwhelmed with new facts and burdensome powers in your life.
