Certainly. The quote doesn't even say "there is no afterlife". It says that none of our wordlily toil and striving follows us to the grave, the author here is just concluding that without God nothing has meaning which you would know if you actually read through the book and not just cherry picked a verse out of context.
OT further mentions the afterlife countless times. On how the poor man and the wealthy ended up in Abraham's bosom (their name for the dimension) and in hell respectively. And NT is riddled with verses on Heaven, eternal life and life on the New Earth which God will make at the end of days. Jesus also mentions "the coming age" as in God's kingdom many times. He even rebukes the Saduccees who claimed what you're claiming and told them as much; they had understood neither the Old Testament nor God's power.
So if it is mentions of Afterlife you're after there is no shortage trust me. I can quote them directly should you wish it. Otherwise I encourage you to read for yourself.
John 5:24 New International Version 24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."

I don't know why everyone whose non believers or believers think they have the answers at the end of the day nobody can prove if theirs after life or a heaven or hell. We will only believe what we believe.

Dante's Divine Trilogy, it's also where they get their concept of hell.
But, without the unverifiable promise of riches in the afterlife, they can't convince people to give them their worldly possessions.
The Christian Bible has been edited over 400 times to suit whoever was in charge. The King James version is a heavily edited bullshit sham of a Bible. It's all a sham anyways
The dead don't know anything NOW, but Jesus promised us to live together with him after the judgement where the dead will resurrect and fuck lots of hot chicks
That is why God sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for sin which we could never pay, allowing those who believe to have everlasting life through Jesus... Our sins are forgiven.
I don't need you to doubt your claim. I don't care what you believe, and therefore I wasn't arguing. I laughed, and asked what bible you are reading. Lol. Seems like you want to start a fight.
Though, if you would like an understanding of the bible verse you provided to the scope of the whole thing? I could explain it. If you want to understand or to know. If you want to fight. I won't do that. I will help you understand what you are reading though.
Home > Religion & Spirituality > Questions > The Bible clearly states there is no 'afterlife', so why do so many self-proclaimed Christians think they'll end up in heaven after they die?

You've taken one single verse and wholly misinterpreted it, calm down.
Oh really? How have I "misinterpreted" it? Do explain :)

I see that many others have corrected on this as well already in the comments. So I hope you take a look at that and do not just ignore it.
Oh, come now; you can't play the "quote scripture" game and half-ass it like that. John 14:2,3, and 4, just to start.
Because they're all delusional "brainwashed" fools.
John 5:24
New International Version
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."
So we have a clear contradiction then in this "word of god".
The Bible is full of contradictions, and apparent contradictions.
Yes, the dead know nothing and there is no work for the dead. Because the dead are waiting for the Judgement day.

A woman once told me, “Somalians are brave, they die once not twice”
some people wanna die twice? 🤷🏽♂️
I've never read the Bible and I probably should but can you tell me exactly what it says
Isaiah 26:90

There's no definitive proof that Jesus even existed.
The dead don't know anything NOW, but Jesus promised us to live together with him after the judgement where the dead will resurrect and fuck lots of hot chicks
Your soul is energy and energy never dies. It can chamge forms but you can't stop it from existing
Oh boy. Another person with an axe to grind against Christians. 🙄
Now do Jews and Muslims 👍

Then you need to get out there and tell everyone what they're doing wrong.
That's what religion is, by the way...
Lol. No after life? What bible you been reading? Lol.
I provided a direct quote from it. You, on the other hand, just went, "LOL" and provided no argument and no reasons to doubt my claim.

It must not have the word “holy” in the title. Little things like are VERY SUS. Look out or Lightning McQueen Willa pull of your skin
Because you need a carrot and a stick to get people to do your bidding.
They're just scared of the fact that death is the absolute end and made something up
