Why do some christians feel that hypocrisy is not a good enough reason to leave the church?

the reason why I left going to church and being a christian is because I can't stand the hypocrisy and double standards that go on in all churches. I'm tired of christians holding everyone else accountable for their actions but they don't want to hold themselves accountable. When someone asks me why I am not a Christian anymore and I tell them the reason is because of hypocrisy and double standards, said Christian who asked me gets mad and tells me that's not a good enough reason to not be Christian. I also left the church because I went through bullying in my youth group and the leadership and head pastor of our church refused to do anything about the bullying and I almost committed suicide because I was going through bullying in high school and in church. In my entire life I have been through almost 10 churches now and I feel better about myself by not going to church because each church I go to is always the same sanctimonious narcissistic attitudes that forced me out of the church I grew up in. Maybe if we start holding abusers accountable in the protestant and not just catholic churches accountable for their actions then the churches will do a better job at taking actions against abuse then just making up excuses like the man is the head of the house so they won't intervene if a woman is getting beat up and raped. Or like the bully is the pastors daughter so we can't do anything about it because we are afraid of the pastor. Yet when I did something in retaliation then they were quick to discipline me and my family and have the Gaul to tell me that I should not seek revenge because it's not Christian yet the same christians can tell me they wish I was dead and bully me and they won't do jack shit about it. Yeah I'm good so I won't be going to church anytime soon but why won't chrsitians realize hypocrisy is a valid reason to leave the church.

Because objectively speaking, it's not. The anger that people have about hypocrisy in churches is understandable and totally justified, but it cannot be a motive to abandon faith altogether.

I say this as a Catholic, where we have the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ as the central mystery and object of worship and devotion. In addition, there is a long and rich devotional, philosophical, and theological tradition and an army of Saints, many of whom have no doubt experienced a lot of the same anger and frustration at hypocrisy, laxity, and narcissism among the baptized.

And yes, where we have also dealt with and are currently dealing with our share of scandals.

Furthermore, especially in light of what I said above here, I know that when I die and when I go before God for my judgment, I will be judged on my own thoughts, words, and actions and not those of others. If those who serve, promote, allow, and facilitate evil in the Church want to burn in Hell for all eternity, that's literally their own damn fault.

In short, while I hate and detest hypocrisy in the Church, I love Christ more.

kuz the goal of going is to hear the teaching so as long as the listener dont swallow everything they enjoy it. also "cancel culture" is recent and secular, christians never valued cancelling someone entirely for one opinion they dont like. when they could the inquisistion threatened to kill them but since then just dont agree.
