It's normal for some people who have childhood trauma around holidays. I could skip my birthday and Christmas. Valentines day is fine, and my wife and I also celebrate the anniversary of our meeting and our wedding anniversary. We aren't religious so we don't observe Easter, except that my wife buys me the traditional chocolate carrots and I get her a few fine chocolates.

Depends on the reasoning honestly. Just have to be careful because some people don’t like these kinds of holidays because it has to do with putting focus on other people other than themselves. in my opinion unless for religious reasons, it’s a red flag when a guy says he doesn’t like Valentine’s Day to me.
