Between the two options you listed, I'd have to go with Option B. But with an asterisk.

He claims to be a Christian. He does not appear to be faithfully practicing and is most certainly not personally morally upright or pure. However, he has at least seen us as allies and has made himself one to us in turn.

This also isn't the first time that a clearly flawed and morally weak and corrupt leader has been friendly towards Christians. I'm sure there are other examples, but I think the most prominent example throughout history is Constantine. He, like Donald Trump, was also married and divorced multiple times (I think Constantine even had one of his wives executed). He had numerous mistresses and concubines and also made sacrifices to pagan deities. But he did also issue the Edict of Milan, which legalized Christianity.

No. I would say it´s hard to say if he´s actually religious or if he´s not using it to get votes. Conservative Evangelicals are a prominent part of Republican voters camp. If Trump said anything against God or Christian faith he would have a hard time with them and would never be President again. Politicians can say a lot about God and not believe a thing especially it influences their chance of elections. For me the biggest problem with the claim of Trump being a genuine is that he says that if he does something he doesn´t bring God into the picture. To me that sounds a bit like Pelegianism meaning a believe system where I´m being good counts for my salvation that´s considered a heraesy. I´m not American so I can´t vote for him or someone else anyways.

I am not going to say negative or positive comments but In my opinion I believe religion and politics should be separate. I don't vote I am not a politics persn I believe Jesus is the also our president. Im team Jesus and always will. I left home crying when I was at the grocery store two individuals were at it each other throats one was a Hilary fan and one a Trump they got to aphysical fight it is really sad, They could have been talking about a recept or even about the super bowl or a favorite sport why fight? He claims he is religious, but he only participates in religious acts in front of others to impress them, like when he tries to get the votes of religious groups. He has admitted he does not ask for forgiveness. He thinks he is equal to God (or better). He has no idea of what communion is about, saying he eats the wine and the cracker, without knowing what the wine and wafer (not cracker) represent. He switches his beliefs about things like abortion and cheating on a spouse (he is the biggest cheater on his multiple spouses) to whatever will bring applause from the group he is speaking to.

I would say that Jimmy Carter was by far America's most religious president. He devoted his whole life to helping people.

President Trump is somebody who does not make a show out of his faith. He is the choice of religious voters because he is not fake and believes in doing the right thing.

He answered a question about abortion at one of the town halls. He spoke to her about his personal views and why he felt that way. He was honest and maybe what he said was not good enough. He does not want to ban abortion completely. He wanted a scientific approach to it, He could have just told her what she wanted to hear but he chose to be honest.
