From a Biblical perspective, there are different types of judgement. There's a judgement that's hypocritical. And there's righteous judgement.
Hypocritical judgement is one that's intended to lift oneself up, make them feel like they're better than someone else, despite the fact that they're either doing the exact same sin as the other person (probably hiding it), or they're in a state of sin where they're lacking humility and believe their sins aren't equivalent to other sins.
Righteous judgement is intended "edify". Build someone up. Inform them of the damage they're committing against their Creator, creation, and/or neighbors, so that they can come before the Lord in repentance and attempt to make a change for the better.
If all someone is doing is yelling at someone like "You're a sinner! You're going to Hell!" This is an unrighteous, likely hypocritical type of judgement.
But if they're like "Brother/Sister, I've been where you're at and I know how much of a struggle it is. But the sin you commit isn't just against yourself. It affects those around you too, and even if it didn't, here in scripture (have actual Bible passage) it shows us that this goes against God's design for you and how you're to act. You need to come before the Lord in repentance." That is a righteous judgement.
One comes from a place of selfishness and wanting to serve self-interests. Make yourself look better than someone else.
The other comes from a place of love, and a desire to serve God.

It’s not our job to judge others, but it’s also not our job to be punching bags for others. Of course God wants you to stand up against those who would do you harm.

You'll feel worse with inaction. You don't want to look back & think you wimped-out for not saying or doing anything or have regret for not attempting to change something when you could have. You gotta live your life.
I believe G0d does not drive a parked car. G0d does not have hands. If your cause is righteous and you feel the need to contend with it, you are being called even if you didn't hear G0d. I think that falls in the revelation department.
