Comments welcome why God flooded the earth.
The man in the video is a literalist, believing exactly what his King James version of the Bible tells him, yet he also points out that teh Dead Sea Scrolls contain somewhat different text in Genesis Chapter 5.
I was raised that the Bible contains many stories, some based on history, and some not, and that it should not always e taken literally. The message in the Bible is more important than the details it describes.
Either way, the Bible indicates that there was evil in the world, God was unhappy about it, and brought about a flood to eliminate evil, sparing Noah and his family, who were not evil, and two of every creature, who couldn't be evil because they do not have freewill like Man does.
That evil existed in the world raises an interesting theological question. If God is perfect and all-knowing, how or why did He create Man and Woman who would become evil rather than remain good? Did God somehow get some pleasure from destroying evil?
Why free will in the beginning? Will we no longer have free will in our everlasting lives? You see free will is the reason for sin, since no human is truly worthy and perfect in this world. The only logical choice is to deny free will in the new world.
I'm not really for sure because I've never read the Bible or anything but I would have to think that it was because something that he created was turning evil and has basically taken over and he said enough is enough
I look at the world today and I would think he would say the same thing or feel the same way because our world is turning more and more evil everyday but I don't think he was wasted people that way I think it would be done in a different way this time
Why? The story given was that man turned to sin.
More realistically it’s a metaphor for sudden uncontrollable change (among other things) and how listening to God is your ship through those troubled waters.
The real question is why do people worship someone who drown countless innocent children and why did the penguins walk to the middle east to get on a boat

God flooded the Earth because all mankind was continuously evil and it saddened him and he regretted that he made man. That's what it says in the Bible but there's more to it he also flooded the Earth because as soon as God confronted Adam and Eve for eating the tree of knowledge of Good and evil and punished the serpent he told the serpent that he would put anonymity between the woman and her seed and the serpent would strike the heel and he would crush the head. Foreshadowing what was going to happen see and all of Hebrew and all of genealogy it's the seed of the man that's passed down the lineage by declaring seed of a woman he was letting the serpent or Satan know that a virgin birth would come about in the Virgin birth would crush his head. So from that moment forward Satan attempted to dilute the DNA of men with nephilium to prevent that virgin child from being born Noah was found righteous in his DNA had not been compromised so he was spared and all the others were wiped as to start a new. That's why there's so many false virgin birth stories to confuse people into believing which one was the real one. That's the real reason
Yup, God really flooded the earth
for violence.
Physical attacks.
You either serve God or the devil. No third option is there.
It clearly stated that mankind became so evil and every deed and thought was wicked and he grieved that he ever created mankind.
Gods wanted to cull undesired part of the herd
Was it because He needed to take a leak, and couldn't quite make it to the toilet?
You can read about it in (Gen.6:9~17) He destroyed everything on earth except for Noah his family and a pair of each animal. He did it because everything on the earth, was evil.
Because humanity thrived on a lot stronger than it does now.
Sin*
