Been a Christian 40 years this year. I'd be lying or deluded to say I'd mastered any part of it. My grandfather was a preacher for 65 years and a week before he died he phoned me excited about something new he'd learned for the first time that day.

Well a good starting point is the idea of christ, due to the name "christianity" the name emphasized christ.
Surprisingly both islam and Christianity agree that jesus is called mesik or christ. This is one of the few details that conflicting religion agree about.
In other words this detail is confirmed even by conflicting faiths.
The difference is, in Christianity jesus is also more, than christ. Maybe the same as god or maybe the son of god meaning similar but submissive, depending on different sects of Christianity.
Christ is the idea of savior.
