So the Rich Young Ruler comes to Jesus and asks Jesus what he must do to be saved.
Jesus' initial response is to list the Ten Commandments (All of which you people break every day of your lives,) and after Jesus had paraphrased 6 of the Commandments the Rich Ruler states, "Lord, I've kept The Commandments all of my life since i was a youth."
Personally, I've only ever broken 3 of them one time each, so I know that's possible.
1) I stole 50 cents worth of inflatable balloons from the old TG&Y shopping center, but I did return them about 5 minutes later when my mother caught me and tanned my hide.
2) I used to bow down to Megami in Karate class before I fully comprehended that doing so is a violation of the Second Commandment. After that, I stopped bowing to it and my instructor stopped promoting me in the class.
3) I've coveted a married woman before, so I broke the Tenth commandment, which by itself is enough to send anyone to Hell, because according to Jesus if you Covet your Neighbor's wife you are already guilty of Adultery, and if you hate your neighbor without a cause, then you are guilty of murder in your heart.
Anyway, then Jesus responded to the Rich man and said, "yet one thing you lack. Go and sell everything you own and give it all to the Poor and then take up the Cross and follow me.." Which literally meant that God expects the man to become a Martyr, like the other 12 martyred apostles.
So the Rich Ruler refused to obey Jesus and went away sad.
So then Jesus turns to his disciples and the crowd and says the following:
"HOW HARDLY SHALL A RICH MAN ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IT IS HARDER FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER HEAVEN THAN IT IS FOR A CAMEL TO PASS THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE."
That is quite the opposite of what 99% of "christian" pastors teach, and quite the opposite of what 99% of your supposedly Christian women want in your lives.
Also, Jesus TWICE braided a whip and beat the money-changers out of the temple.
