White caulk or black caulk?

I need caulk for front and back door. It's been recommended that I use black caulk for front as the gap is pretty wide. But the back door's gap I'd considerably smaller and It's been recommended that I use white caulk for that one. Any advice from those with experience with white and black caulk would be appreciated.

I've always used white latex caulk or clear silicone caulk. Never has a problem with either. Both can be painted any color you like... with latex paint.

use whatever you can get cheap and paint over it latter you can have it match the frames
