Women take sabbatical leaves, maternity leaves, many work part time after pregnancy as well. Women don't 'make less', if they did they'd be suing under the Equal Pay Act of 1963, they 'earn' less. And frankly I could care less about the womens pay gap myth. Unlike that, fathers rights is actually a reality, as well as the massive gender bias in divorce/family court regarding alimony and child support. Until any of this gets touched, which it probably won't, I will not be marrying or lifting my finger in support of women. Because unlike 'your pay', which to you, only affects you, fathers rights directly affects the children and men and has a much higher impact on the destruction of families.

Please keep in mind these were only examples, I gave more examples to dating life and oh, right there's still an issue with women being seen as sex objects and being raped simpler for being a woman - statistics actually prove that in the U. S. alone a woman is raped every 2 minutes! And now don't you dare say this doesn't affect family life or that it is a minor thing.

Yes, women are seen as sex objects... else we wouldn't have a species. Your dad saw your mom as a sex object too when he boinked her ;) Sounds like you're victimizing women. I wonder how often a male is killed... hmmm? Even if I believed that a woman is raped every 2 minutes, which I don't, I'm sorry babe, but that's just too bad. What a citizen is entitled to, is a trial against his or her aggressor. There's not much you can preemptively do, to stop criminality. I as a male, am many times more likely to be killed, than you a female, by another male. Does anyone, especially a Fing Feminst, care? Of course not. The opinion owner, age 30, who gave all of those glaring statistics is correct. Women have had plenty of time in the eye of government, feminisms goal has been accomplished. It is now irrelevant. My only concern is mens rights today. You have your rope to pull and we have ours.

Wow, I can't even get over how terribly ignorant this is. It's simply unbelievable how many men prefer to just ignore that fact that there are actually other countries where women are still literally treated like cattle but "of course feminism is completely irrelevant because who cares about anyone outside my country?" Wow, you should congratulate yourself on your ignorance about forgetting that as eventually one of the most important driving forces about feminism.

Also this take wasn't even about feminism but apparent you didn't really catch up on that either. I was literally giving a few examples for where we should have more equality in the beginning of this take - now I'm very sorry if I didn't capture every single male issue there is but I didn't point out ever female issue there is either. But I'm not surprised all you see is the man's side since most people tent to be very biased and incapable of thinking about the other genders issues here - well, I think I did, I looked at a lot of them and I came to the conclusion that men and women both have their own issues and that we do indeed still need gender equality to change that for the better.
      Not feminism, gender equality.

Dear... to call me ignorant on this subject after the drivel you've posted is laughable. Feminism is the driving force for these 'inequalities' that men face today, regarding fathers rights, as they were the ones who lobbied to keep the tender years doctrine. It didn't just happen, and now we have these issues. It happened, objectively, because of feminism. So no male who cares about his rights would ever support such a thing. Secondly, I assume, that you are in a first world country, as am I. If feminism is so dearly needed in other parts of the world, such as 3rd world countries, go and preach it there. There is literally not one right that you, a female, don't have, by law, compared to me, a man. There is now a precedence, that must be addressed, as per the damage that feminism has caused. Hence why men's issues must come first... as feminism did the most damage to them, as well as the children of these broken families. Lastly, to say you are egalitarian is to say you are an (cont)

enemy of feminism. There is literally no way, you can try to spin that the issue of fathers rights is 'unrelated' to feminism. If we got rid of that, it'd be one great start, as NO WESTERN COUNTRY, practices discrimination of women. By the way, you've really said nothing to counter any of my points. Every time I counter you, you go in another direction, and come up with the same tired lines we've heard from feminists time and time again. Contrary to what you think, they do not speak for, and are not the 'elected representatives of women'.

"NO WESTERN COUNTRY, practices discrimination of women" Even though females have higher education rates and work more than men in the same profession they still get paid less in America - yes, the pay gap has decreased to about 20% between men and women working in the same field so there has been a progress but there obviously there is still a huge problem even today! You can deny it all you want but this is a fact - and you would know about it if you ever really did some proper research on it.

"Lastly, to say you are egalitarian is to say you are an (cont) enemy of feminism." since you obviously don't seem capable of even looking up the definition of either of those movements, let me do this for you: Egalitarianism: a belief in human equality especially with respect to social, political, and economic affairs
Feminism: the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities

That fact is that women choose lower paying jobs, like chikd care. They like it and it's their choice.

A woman choose a higher paying profession like computer programmer or mechanical engineer, but they choose not to.

That's fine, there's more to life than just money, but it's pretty silly to claim discrimination because you chose not to be a computer programmer.

      Um, THIS IS A FACT:

You seem pretty misinformed about the gender pay gap unfortunately.

You're the one that is terribly misinformed. Of course if you compare ALL working women to ALL working men, women make less. This is because women work less and have less work experience. Women work fewer hours, take more time off, are more likely to quit and turn down a promotion for family reasons. Some women give up 10-20 years of work to stay home and raise their children. That makes a huge difference in their pay.

When a woman has the same work experience and education as a man, she makes the same amount of money. If this wasn't true then why doesn't someone start up a company and hire all women and pay them an amount in the middle of this mythical wage gap. Those women would earn more and the company would have lower operating costs. So why hasn't anyone done this? Because there is no such thing as a gender pay gap.

The average women is going to earn less than the average man because women have different goals in life than men do and make different career choices than men do.

Rape statistics are false because there is no way to know if someone was actually raped or not. There are many rapists who get away with rape but there are also many false rape claims which are unfortunately cited as real rape. There is no way to know for sure.

I don't believe statistics anyway because they're misleading, BIASED and there is no way to sample the entire population.

This is a great mytake. There is only one area I don't entirely agree. The fact that you have written it from both a woman's and man's perspective rather than just making it a rant about women's rights makes it a nice read. I love how you have recognised that in some areas men and women can't be equal which a lot of people fail to realise or get mad at you if you mention it.

Nice take! I'd like to know if the differences in male and female brains are solely down to biology or if the brain is a little like a muscle, where if you use it more since birth, there will be more nerves and brain mass produced of that part of that brain, so it's not really down to nature, but more down to nurture.

I guess one way is to compare someone who went through extremely sexist times compared to maybe someone in their twenties, or maybe someone in the west and someone from say Cambodia.

But I do think nature has a big impact, since queers actually do have radically different structure iirc

The brain is solely down to biology AND if works a bit like a muscle. The biology determines the structure of the brain and it's capacity, however like a muscle you can utilise it's potential more or less by usage.

Men and woman are diffident yes, but most of the difference in the brain is based on structure how you do use your potential is up to you.

I do agree with most of what you said, but I also think that men and women are not as psychologically as different as society expects them to be. It's true that women are more emotional than men, but not as much as most people think. Men are usually taught that they are not supposed to show any emotions.

    Nice take though :)

I agree and I find it kind of sad that men are not allowed to show their emotions openly because they will be made fun of otherwise.
Japan is one country where this is still the biggest problem is think because it's not "manly" to cry in front of people of to cry at all and at the same time the country has the highest suicide rate in the world with over twice the amount of people committing suicide being men. That just shows me that something in their society is really going wrong.

I think everyone who isn’t in any way sexist will agree that women and men deserve the same pay for the same job and effort they put into it, that fathers should have the same

100% disagree women give birth they go on maternity leave that's why they get paid less they are less reliable.

There is no wage gap in the West currently. All these laws that they're trying to pass will not change anything, because there is nothing to change. Women already get paid equally for the same work. Sometimes they get paid more.

Genius, isn't it? I have zero clue what this take was supposed to represent, other than your internal quarrel on how you cannot seem to take gender equality to heart.

the genetic diffrence between a man and a woman is the same as between a human and chimpanzee. There are real biological diffrences, mens brains are 8-10% larger then a womans and have greater gray matter to womens greater quantity of white matter. To presume this has nothing to do with genetics seems highly unlikley.

I read it from start to finish, yet it still failed to convince me that there are some areas where gender equality isn't appropriate. Equality is not sameness. Equality is equal availability of opportunity. Whether or not men and women choose to seize that opportunity is entirely up to them as individuals.

The point is tho that I was talking about equality in general, I agree that both genders should be given the same opportunities in a social aspect but in a physical aspect they shouldn't and can't be. You can't (shouldn't) go and tell a woman who's much weaker than you "oh , can you help me carry the water inside because it's too heavy for me", just because you're all for equality.
