No, this myTake has nothing to do with that song. I just thought that the specific line worked well for this.

So, who here has an answer? Why are people so damn rude?

I mean, we're all human. Every single one of our hearts beat, and sooner or later, they will all stop beating. So in the mean time, why do we have to be cruel to eachother? Why do we all feel the need to harm other people, possibly ruining the short time we all have here?

Well, there can be many answers, in my opinion. I'm not completely innocent of this crime, and I'm sure you can all think back to at least one moment in your lives where you've done something cruel as well. Now think of a time it was being done unto you. One of those times you may have felt power, and the other you felt weak, correct? This may not be true for everyone, but the vast majority of readers here will understand.

Perhaps being cruel to eachother is just a guaranteed part of life. Maybe we're just born to be vicious creatures. Or do our little hearts just fill up with the harsh words of others, until they can't take much more and the dam holding back our anger bursts, drowning the nearest victim.

Does anyone truly know why the world must be so cruel?

Maybe it's the rush of adrenaline we get when we're putting someone down, making ourselves feel better about our own flaws. Maybe there really is no reason, and it's just something that happens. I believe that this is something that's built up. It's a reflection of your past, your present, and your future. It's a factor dependent on your self esteem, and your personality overall. All of these factors build up, until you reach the point where you can no longer resist taunting and tormenting others.

When I think about this, I reflect on what I've said to others. I remember all of the things said to me. I wonder if I'll ever reach the point of no return. I haven't hit that point yet... Have you?
