Could Feminism Save The American Family? (Abridged)

I wrote this myTake last week, and it is getting lots of comments by people who are simply reacting to the headline to make tired, hackneyed and disparaging comments about feminism.

As a service to them and their short attention spans, I'll post one point that I made that they seem to have missed, edited for brevity and emphasis added. Hopefully they can make it through an entire paragraph.

The whole idea of feminism is to make women equal to men.
Nowadays i think it is succeeding. i see many guys that aren't afraid to show emotions, to some extent, some girls are open to talk about sex, to an extent, men and women are both able to show their true abilities (e. g. many girls are doing jobs that weren't allowed for them not so long ago) and men not ashamed of doing housework. We still have a long way to go; many countries still have a lot of sexism and consider women as objects or that they should never make mistakes or talk about sex, and now there is a problem of double standards (e. g. a woman can hit a man and a man can;t hit back)
