Why feminism is ruining our society (yet another feminism take)

I'm aware there's already 2 other mytakes on feminism written by guys in the feed but this take is more of a response to a different take titled "Could feminism save the American family?"

Let's start off by defining feminism. Many think it's equal legal rights for men and women, equal pay, and equal respect, at least that's how the author of that take defines it and I'm sure many of you agree on this. Sadly it's not; this is the definition of egalitarianism. Notice the word feminism has no root word for the word equal anywhere in it. So what exactly is feminism? Without offending anyone let's agree that in principle, feminism is the movement of women having the same role in society as men. Agreed? If not please leave your definition below. And make it credible. Also, I say in principle because most feminist don't really want equal roles, they just want the benefits of being a man while keeping the perks of being a woman. But that's not something I want to discuss right now or get into.

So what's wrong with the principle of feminism?

To begin, I want you to understand that true feminism will never be accomplished in a democracy. To help you understand why let's look at jobs. Feminists say they want equal gender ratios in job roles right? How will we ever accomplish this? Well you do it by having the government hand out jobs to ensure equal ratios. That means that for every woman that's given an office job there will be another thrown in a coal mine and a man moved from the coal mine to a nail salon, massage parlous, a nurse in the hospital or other female-dominated fields. This is role equality. Furthermore, I understand the repercussions of me throwing a drink in someone's face, or hitting someone because they said something insulting. I'm gonna get socked in the face, and no one around me will so much as turn their heads. So just remember, equal roles in society. Do no expect men to step up and help you when you're getting harassed on the street by a homeless man. Do not expect bouncers to help you when you go at a bar in freezing cold temperatures wearing a 6 inch skirt and get mad because drunk guys make innapropriate comments. It's an equal society and hence you have to learn how to take care of yourself in every situation.

Now why is this inneffective? Aside from women having to live in constant fear, looking at jobs alone you can tell that that's not an efficient society. Why? Because the jobs aren't handed out based on merit. See that's the problem, feminists say they want 'equal' job roles but what they really want is companies handing out jobs just because they're a woman. Ironically instead of empowering women they're making being a woman seem like more of a handicap. And do not argue that women are not given equal pay or equal CHANCES at getting the same job as a man. In my country at least egalitarianism is a movement that happened a long time ago. There are women who are in extremely high up positions. My company's CEO is woman. The VP who I work under is also a woman and probably the best supervisor I've ever had. How did these women get in these positions? Because of MERIT. They worked their asses off and had the brains to back it up. Now it's true there are more men in higher up positions, more men working in labour positions, more men making more money ON AVERAGE than women. This is because ON AVERAGE men are smarter, stronger and more productive than women. If you're too ignorant to recognize this please... grab an evolutionary biology textbook, read it cover to cover and educate yourself. And this is not just a phenomenon in my country. The US, the UK, and all other major developed countries are all the same. Now it's true, there are countries in which women are supressed and have less rights than men. First one to come to mind is obviously Saudi Arabia. But notice no feminist is fighting for them. They could not give less of a shit that women are getting battered and stoned to death in countries in the middle east for doing things women here have had the right to since before their mothers were born. So much for feminism being a 'global movement' right?

Now that covers a small part of why it's bad for society. I can go into what it does to evolution, how it tears apart families, relationships and how having equal roles changes both men and women's life goals, even go into the neuroscience part of things if people are into that. But this take is already long enough so if there's enough interest I'll write a part 2 and 3 on this later.
