Curvy is a shape not a size. I am thin and in shape. Never once dieted. Never needed to. I am naturally slim. But I often am told how I am too skinny and lack curves. I often get told how guys love ass and tits and how i might as well never date because I have nothing. Its true though. I dont have a nice, plump bottom or big boobs. this isn't fat people or feminists. The exact opposite. I am talking about fit people with good definition, both guys and girls. I am fit and in shaoe and eat well yet I lack good definition. I have a small little butt and no hips. I dont go in and out in the right places. My hips are only a little bit bigger than my little waist
They deserve to feel proud they can scream it to the world that doesn't give them a right to put other people down just like obese women shouldn't.
And I'll say it again being skinny isn't always beautiful you can be super fit and butt ugly. Don't forget what you are saying is an opinion not a fact.
When you pick up any magazine, there will be a skinny person on the cover. When you look at any modeling posters, or VS posters, they are all skinny. God forbid society tries to accept other kinds of body types and people yell "SKINNY SHAMING!".

It's impossible to be fat and truly healthy. I've never seen a fat athlete unless it's food or little to no work involved. Athletes are thin because they are active and being active burns fat and builds muscle. Healthy = Beautiful.
@Josht11 Skinny isn't always healthy, overweight isn't always unhealthy. Being happy in your own skin and living an active and clean eating lifestyle is healthy. Anyone can do that no matter what size they are.

Skinny is also healthy and yet skinny guys aren't the face of the world so do thin people really look better? It seems that it only applies to females.
That is my exact point you should accept other body types because not everyone looks like that and they're also healthy. Also being skinny isn't more attractive you can be skinny or have the best body in the world but if your face doesn't match that doesn't make you look good quite the opposite.
@DivaMonae lol of course only works for females the body types are so different it'd look weird if the ideals were the same. I don't want to see fat guys on shit either. obviously if you've got a horse face your not gonna be attractive but you might as well be a gargoyle if your fat.

No it's about society automatically labeling any women who is skinny in the slightest as "anorexic" and tearing her down because she doesn't have curves. That's been a thing lately and I have experienced so much of it. Lots of people look down on models.
Yeah, but all body types are beautiful. Just because a girl has a thigh gap doesn't make her anymore healthy than a larger girl. And the pictures in commercials don't look like you. Sorry. But those models are unhealthy. They are 5''10 plus and weigh 55 kg max.
@helloitsmethere yes I agree, all girls eating a balanced diet are healthy regardless to their body type. but fashion models usually are on very strict diets to keep them at an unnaturally low weight. I know a lot of very sllim girls who eat like hell, but they never gain weight
You make the assumption being thin is in direct coorelation with being healthy and beautiful lol. So, it used to be being model thin was attractive now the girls who have some shape are being praised. Stop whinning skinny will always be in but curves most likely won't be. Some girls dont need to do squats or get implants and they should be proud of thier bodies too and now people are noticing them. in a few years model thin will most likely be what is beautiful again.
Yeah skinny women are the victims of everything that's why every Victoria secret model gets shamed and discriminated against. Skinny women have it worse than fat women, starving children in Africa, Cancer patients, people with rare deadly diseases, racism, and torture victims.
Actually lots of guys I know dont find the victoria secret models hot because they like their woman curvy. Not fat per say. Just curvier. Because you know, booty and wide hips? Lots of guys I have liked always went for the curvier girls. Peoole like to comment on how I look like a twig. I been called anorexic looking before and told I have no ass. I have many a times been told to gain weight by people. My aunt gave me some good advice: I appear too thin to peoole because even though my waist hasn't been smaller than 25 inches for years, I am in the middle of my weight zone, and I have a healthy bmi and fat percentage, the reason people tend to think i am too thin is because my hips dont protrude much at all and have little curves and peoppe tend to associate that with too thin, especially in this day where people are starting to realize skinny doesn't equal attractive. Skinny girls can be pretty but curvy women (Marilyn Monroe, Kim K, curvy friends, katy perry, bella thorne, ect) own sex
Appeal. Because the media and women tend to think skinny is good and makes us more attractive where as many studies have observed that men , in general, perfer curvy women (whether small or thick, CURVY). Hourglass shape hasn't been considered the ideal body for no reason.
@Grungenoreos Yeah but majorit of guys find skinny women attractive most of the time that could also be due to the fact that the model industry is dominated by females. The thing with that whole curvy subject is that many men have their own views of what curvy is and you can still be skinny and still be curvy at the same time its like when men are skinny but also get called skinny fat cause the only place they have fat showing up is in their stomach and they are only like a 120lbs too.
Umm ya well no guy has ever considered me attractive. I have no boobs or butt. In fact people like to comment on how i have no ass. I have no hips worthy of mentioning. I basically look like a 12 year old boy with a young female face and tiny boobies
I know skinny women can be curvy. Curvy is a shape. It ain't a size. Its all about proportions. You know a defined waist with hips that protrude rather noticeably? It doesn't have to be extreme but ya I got nothing. Zilch curves!!
@Grungenoreos You might be a late bloomer sorry to hear that I mean that's like you know life is not fair. Skinny women can have boobs too though so that's probably why guys don't find you attractive cause you're flat chested and you're not an ass person either so you get the worst of both worlds. Just give it more time and you will develop and even if you don't worst case scenario you could get breast implants. Most guys seem to be attracted to fake women anyhow so don't sweat it.
I would never go under the knife. That isn't me at all. And ya i have no tits and ass. Sucks to be me 😢😢 Wish i could find a guy that can see past it and still find me beautiful... But no it ain't happening.
@Grungenoreos Don't say that you're still really young. Just think of it as a way to weave out all the fake guys who only want you for your body why would you want a guy like that anyways right? You'll find someone and like I said you still have time to develop. Hey at least you're not bald that's way worse.
I never found bald a turn off to be honest. And i dont know how late of a bloomer I am because most people in my family are done growing by 16-18 ish. Maybe I am part of the recessive batch, the uncommon late bloomers in the family. And ya well I have yet to meet that guy...
But I suppose it can be used to my advantage. See who really likes me for me. Lets just hope he doesn't ogle other females in front of me. I can't handle knowing he does but i dont wanna see that shit though i know its not wrong... Just wouldn't want to see it.
Sweetheart if you didn't have he balls to say anything to me before don't decide to grow a pair now.
That's super cowardly of you to block me from the question, message me, and then block me. But I mean of course that's what cowards do and good job making sure that you blocked me completely and not just on he question because you better believe that after this I would give you hell in the future.
Also if I or my opinion was so irrelevant you wouldn't have take the time to do any of this. You could've just ignored it so it's good to know that I got under your skin
Sincerely xoxo DivaMonae @RetroDreamerXD she wanted me to send this to you lol.
I never once spoke to her on her. I saw some comments earlier that she mad and she sounded like she was talking to me and i was confused af cuz i was not knowing what she was talking about. Must have confused me with someone else.
No I understand sarcasm and that's why I replied to you. Because your sarcastic statement implies that skinny women don't get shamed or discriminated against.
@TiaraGlitzNeon They do but the way the mytake owner made it seem like it was like the worst thing or a very macro issue. I've been skinny shamed and I agree its not okay especially in American culture that has become even more evident. I would have responded totally different had the mytake owner made this what is was which is a micro issue. She could still have made this a good mytake by doing that.
Ok it's not a minor issue though. it has been a thing that has been getting increasingly worse, although I don't like the way the MyTaker contradicted herself and shamed fat people in the process.
I'm thin but I still can't run a few feet without shortness of breath either haha and I don't keep to a diet, I eat whatever the hell I want to. A little bit of chocolate cake, whipped cream straight form the bottle, a bag of crisps or two, a couple of ham wraps, a big pack of pistachios (I love pistachios). I guess it's just down to nature at the end of the day. I bless my metabolic rate.
Okay so first all i feel that this mytake is pointless. No one "skinny shames"" as you say over and over. So i would highly appreciate if you would instead say anything is okay and any body big small tall short. Im nor fat or skinny and i find what your saying kinda offensive
Uh-huh, and you're TOTALLY not fat-shaming. What do you mean by 'Being able to touch my toes is beautiful'? Are you saying that being beautiful is only limited to how much you can do in the gym? The term beautiful is definitely not define by our sizes but rather our character. So instead of having such a narrow-minded view on the word 'Beautiful', I strongly suggest you don't fat shame in an attempt to boost your self-esteem
Yeah you took it wrong. Some fat people can touch their toes can't they? I didn't put anyone down it's just a matter of how people took it. I suggest you look at it in more than one perspective.
Some fat people probably can't but that doesn't mean they aren't healthy. I've met people who go to the gym regularly yet can't do it. It's a matter of flexibility too.
That's what I thought too. Like this whole passage:
'Being able to run without shortness of breath in the first few feet because of my weight is beautiful. Being able to jump is beautiful. Being able to touch my toes is beautiful. Being able to lift at least half my bodyweight is beautiful. Being able to survive in nature is beautiful, Etc, etc.'
@fauchelevent am I lying though? Isn't that beautiful? Healthy = Beautiful. That's my whole and only point other than people shouldn't try to put people down about it like it's our fault that they aren't healthy.
> goes on a tirade wherein she makes obvious derogatory comments about fat people > whines about skinny shaming whilst blatantly doing the same thing > 'WAAAH, why aren't u being nice to meeeeeee, i'm so pwetty! uwu'
@fauchelevent how is it derogatory? It's the truth. Is it false that being overweight and having shortness of breath within the first few feet unhealthy? If being healthy is insulting, then perhaps people should change their viewpoint/perspective and priorities and save their own lives. It's not like I'm calling fat people stupid and stuff. I'm only pointing out facts. So yeah, crucify me for being proud I don't look like that.
I provided you with the evidence of what you said. Regardless of that, i am not the only one to point out that what you said is incredibly hypocritical. That is evidence enough and, as I said, because your responses have been like pulling teeth and I am tired of the bullshit and hypocrisy that you expressed, it's too tiring to continue.
@fauchelevent that's funny. I said HEALTHY = BEAUTIFUL. Last I checked, it's unhealthy and not normal to need to catch your breath within a few feet. I honestly think you're just commenting to comment and are looking for trouble.
thank you somebody said it i'm skinny and gorgeous so yeah stop doing that there really isn't a difference between either because we were all made in our own unique way and if we were all alike we would be boring
'Just because our BMI's aren't off the charts doesn't make us sickly.'
Yes, but your BMIs might be UNDER the charts, depending how you define 'skinny'. So yeah, skinny is not necessarily healthy. Anyway, skinny is not really shamed by society because you said it yourself:
'paste pictures and fill commercials with girls who look like me. Thin, running, laughing, eating, jumping, smiling, and modeling. It's the ideal image of beauty.'
Oh trust me it is shamed. Most men I know ridicule all these skinny women the media and magazines portray as if they really are the ideal beautiful. They think shows like American's Next Top Model is gross because the girls are way too skinny most of the time. Science has proven time and time again that what makes women more attractive is her curves and not being super skinny. The hour glass figure isn't considered the best body shape for no reason. Its in man's nature to be attracted to women with wide hips and big butts. Not that I have any of that lmao but you see I am naturally skinny. I try to gain weight more than anything. I have never once dieted.
Yes it's true, just like super buff guys are more attractive than athletic / moderately toned guys like myself. But that doesn't make athletic guys unattractive (to most people), just like it doesn't make skinny girls unattractive (to most people). I did a few polls about this and a lot (though not most) of people here thought the girls I consider curvacious are actually fat. So I really would not worry about this too much.
People tend to think I am anorexic though. Well not really... But a couple people in the past of made such a comment telling me I should stop dieting because guys dont like that shit (this was a couple of guys). And actually I know athletic men and women who are thicker and muscular (not over the top). My Dad is one of them. He was a soldier and an athlete. He was into body building but he also was a very good runner, the top in class throughout the majority of high school until he dropped out for reasons I won't say. But he wasn't anything special per say, just above the average male. He took up martial arts, wieght lifting, and football. He was buff but athletic at the same time. Not to say my Daddy was anything special because of this but I certainly believe, like other people, that if he had the proper training and passion, he could have been a world class athlete more so than the average person. They call people like that "potential athletes."
That first one had VERY curvy women. Thats why. Besides most guys voted attractive. But no I do posts that have to do with average people as in chubby girls with curves (as in with a tummy), skinny girls with barely anything (me), and girls who are thin but curvy ( not overly curvy) (they got the highest votes.)
Curvy won in my poll too, point is that skinny was still by and large considered desirable. As for athletic men, I know that some people use 'athletic' to refer to a bodybuilder physique, that's not really the context I'm using it in though.
Wow. The second poll has both skinny, curvy , and muscular girls that isn't realistic for most women. Most women are in between all of those. I picked curvy that looked naturally curvy and skinny that didn't look starved.
Ya curvy always wins. I didn't even use girls that looked thin to the bone. I didmt use models as in fashion models but girls I found through google search that dont look like they try much to change their body. I used girls of the same body types u did but looked more like girls in real life
Glad to know that if you met me you would think I wasn't healthy and unnattractive because I am unnattractive. I have no ass and only B cup breasts. I love my legs though. But people tend to think I am too skinny amd tell me guys dont like this shit (guys have told me themselves.) im a motherfucking twig but at least i am healthy. I lift weights, I sprint, I do all kinds of butt and hip exercises, I make sure I am consuming all my vitamins, carbs, fat, calcium, protein, etc and calories, I actually eat more fat than I should but i dont give a shit about going over board, I make sure I consume all the calories I need, I have a healthy bmi, and I am in the middle of my healthy weight zone.
Curvy isn't easy for me to achieve unlike what you said in that poll update. I eat 5 meals a day including 3 snacks, I eat more than I burn, I am healthy and in the middle of my healthy weight range with a good bmi but no im not curvy at all. But I have nice toned, fleshy legs... Thats it.
Its funny because according to my measurements I now have an hourglass figure. I am 35-25-34.75 when before I was 36-25-33.75 but no i still dont look curvy. People tell me
I just wanted to say your polls weren't in any way reassuring because skinny was chosen by a minority. Lets face the facts. Curvy will always be better and thats the hard but simple truth. ain't anything gonna change that. I accept it.
You're completely correct and everyone here has just fallen prey to the wolves that are a politically correct society. Being thin or fit is beautiful, being chubby or fat is not, and they can't accept that.
1. It's not always a choice if you honestly believe that someone being obese is simply because they eat too much or don't exercise you need to get better educated on health there's many other reasons and a few of gem are uncontrollable.
2. It is an opinion you also need to get a dictionary or Google the difference between a fact and an opinion.
3. Three o never said being chubby or fat is beautiful although that that is up a for interpretation. When I said that I was refering to other body types that are very well healthy but isn't considered "thin". Last time I checked thin skinny guys aren't the face of world it's muscular guys and yet both bodies are perfectly fine just like you don't have to be skinny to be healthy. Believe it or not you don't have to be thin or skinny to be healthy what happens to average bodies?
4. And actually yes some people do believe it or not? Some people are attracted to overweight people over skinny people. Thats like saying guys only like girls with
With big boobs when its simply not true. Everyone likes what they likes and it doesn't fall under all of your stereotypic opinions or preferences.
It may be less likely that someone dreams of marrying someone although there overweight or obese (but its not nonexistent) but yet they fall in love with a person that is and think they're beautiful and accepts them as they are. If you've never seen a fit person with an overwifht or obese person you should open your eyes and welcome to the real world. People like that get married pretty often and it's people like you that hate and leave nasty comments about it.
Like I said what you have to say isn't true because it isn't a fact. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and believe it or not everyone's not shallow... Sorry not sorry 😌
@DivaMonae Are you dense? No, it IS an option, only a minuscule percentage of fat people are fat because of health reasons. If you choose to eat right and be active then you won't be fat. You'd have to be mentally handicapped to not understand that. You said it was "a matter of opinion" which it isn't, lack of health is unhealthy, therefore fat people are physically unappealing. Are you attracted to fat people? Do you have fantasies about a three hundred pound man? Like I said, probably not. People are attracted to healthy people because it's basic human nature to want to have children with someone who is healthy so that the children are healthy. It's biology, and to argue that biology is wrong is simply ridiculous.
Like you said a miniscule of people I don't care if it's only one person on he earth with this issue if still qualifies some people just can't help it and you can't act like they don't qualify.
I know what it fakes to be healthy eaf right and exercise. You have to be mentally challenged of you can't understand that some people eat healthy excercis and still have this issue I don't give a crap how few people it apllies to it still applies!
You're right lack of health is unhealthy but you can't speak for everyone and say it's unappealing. Some people are content with constantly eating and not working it off and they find other people like hem attractive. And some people work their ass off and yet they find people that do the exact opposite attractive and are fine with them and their life choice.
And no I don't but I also know that there's more to people than just their physical shape. I may not fantasize about them buy if I see a fat man with a beautiful face I'm going to find him
More attractive than a guy qih a healthy or even an amazing body because he has a butt ugly face it's as simple as that. You are right in a way about the biology thing and how we want to have healthy children buy guess what we also want attractive children and that isn't based off of biology. If you'll marry a guy just for his pshyical body but you can't tolerate his face hey that's on you at least he's healthy am I right? Accepting a guy like that is just as shallow as accepting a guy that's obese because you're also not attracted to him.
I'm done arguing at the end of the day what you have to say is shallow and it's not a fact.

Why should society accept other body parts... Hmm let's see. You say thin people look so much better than fat people well if thin people look so great why don't you skinny guys on the cover of magazines? You see muscular guys. @Josht11 Okay but you're missing the point and it isn't all that different. The media is trying to tell us what's attractive and what isn't. Guys that are only muscular aren't the only guys that are attractive.
Just like skinny girls aren't the only girls.
@DivaMonae you don't need the media to know landwhales are repulsive.
@Josht11 So you're telling me skinny guys are repulsive?
And girls that have a figure, and aren't flat chested, or have a butt is repulsive... Okay good to know 👍
@DivaMonae No I never said that I specifically said landwhales, I don't mind skinny guys being on anything just as long as they don't look unhealthy.
@Josht11
No you sand landwalea just now but you didn't care to point that out before. Your exact words were why should we accept other body types? And thin people look so much better... That being said you eliminated every body type that isn't like that.

I used to get teased all of the time by girls in HS because I was skinny. I know now that they were just all jealous haters.
Be proud to be you.
It just feels as if you're taking subtle digs at overweight people, combined with humble bragging. Thumbs all the way down for this.
Yeah, but all body types are beautiful. Just because a girl has a thigh gap doesn't make her anymore healthy than a larger girl. And the pictures in commercials don't look like you. Sorry. But those models are unhealthy. They are 5''10 plus and weigh 55 kg max.
Just because someone is underweight doesn't mean they are unhealthy and just because someone is overweight does not mean that they are unhealthy.
@helloitsmethere yes I agree, all girls eating a balanced diet are healthy regardless to their body type. but fashion models usually are on very strict diets to keep them at an unnaturally low weight. I know a lot of very sllim girls who eat like hell, but they never gain weight
That's true... I used to eat pizza everyday to gain weight and it didn't work.
I fuckin hate myself. Im not even kidding. Ill be forever alone
@Grungenoreos My one aunt didn't develop until her late 20's no joke so never say never lol.
Sincerely xoxo DivaMonae
@RetroDreamerXD she wanted me to send this to you lol.
I never blocked her
I never once spoke to her on her. I saw some comments earlier that she mad and she sounded like she was talking to me and i was confused af cuz i was not knowing what she was talking about. Must have confused me with someone else.
@Grungenoreos What no not you lol the mytaker lol.
Oh lmao nevermind.
@Grungenoreos I sent that message from divamonae to the mytaker
Most people actually don't find skinny women attractive. They find curvy women attractive.
@TiaraGlitzNeon I guess you don't understand sarcasm.
Who cares if you r skinny or fat? What a waste of my time reading that. Do you just like hearing yourself talk?
Says the one who commented when no one asked them to.
She didn't talk. She typed into a computer.
@bobbyx whatever. it was pointless
You waste my time im gonna call u on it
Yeah you wasted her time she feels as if she should get something out of it. An eye for an eye.
That's a complete lie. Skinny shaming is real. If it weren't, then fat shaming isn't real... you know what... not gonna entertain your ignorance.
SKINNY SHAMING EXISTS. PERIOD.
Well, guess what? I'm overweight yet I can touch my toes, do the spilts and do a backbend. So what's your point huh?
Some fat people probably can't but that doesn't mean they aren't healthy. I've met people who go to the gym regularly yet can't do it. It's a matter of flexibility too.
This just seems like showing off mixed with covert fat shaming.
Great job hiding your bitchiness, OP.
@fauchelevent am I lying though? Isn't that beautiful? Healthy = Beautiful. That's my whole and only point other than people shouldn't try to put people down about it like it's our fault that they aren't healthy.
'People shouldn't try to put people down'
> goes on a tirade wherein she makes obvious derogatory comments about fat people
> whines about skinny shaming whilst blatantly doing the same thing
> 'WAAAH, why aren't u being nice to meeeeeee, i'm so pwetty!
Dear God, it's like pulling teeth.
@fauchelevent you have yet to back up anything you've said.
Yeah but unfortunately she said it poorly. This opinion that you left has more value than what she said.
@DivaMonae LOL yeah i think so too
'Just because our BMI's aren't off the charts doesn't make us sickly.'
But yeah fuck the media. Science is the real deal
@Grungenoreos
'what makes women more attractive is her curves'
Yes it's true, just like super buff guys are more attractive than athletic / moderately toned guys like myself. But that doesn't make athletic guys unattractive (to most people), just like it doesn't make skinny girls unattractive (to most people). I did a few polls about this and a lot (though not most) of people here thought the girls I consider curvacious are actually fat. So I really would not worry about this too much.
www.girlsaskguys.com/.../q1934049-are-these-girls-overweight-or-curvy
www.girlsaskguys.com/.../q1931612-which-female-physique-do-you-prefer
Skinny is good for most people as long as you're not diving down into anorexia territory.
I will have to look at your polls. I made a couple before and curvy always won over skinny.
@Grungenoreos
I used girls of the same body types u did but looked more like girls in real life
I didn't even use skinny like how most people think (malnourished or model skinny) just skinny like my skinny... It got no votes
No I checked your poll again. Slender gor only 9 votes where as the others got more than 14... 😪
Ok but just because someone is underweight according to a BMI chart doesn't mean they're unhealthy smh. Skinny is VERY shamed by society.
You're completely correct and everyone here has just fallen prey to the wolves that are a politically correct society. Being thin or fit is beautiful, being chubby or fat is not, and they can't accept that.
That's like saying being white is beautiful and being black is not it's simply an opinion... Care to continue?
@DivaMonae I stopped reading after the second paragraph, fix your grammar and spelling and resend it
I seriously thought I was reading a Fat Shaming Post.
Hahaha! I remember last year when there was all the drama around that poster from Protein World! That poor model got sooooo much hate!
Another reason I used the picture.
Excellent choice!
