The movement needs to move over to the regions where women are less than human. However none of the women in the movement will leave their safe jobs and homes to go help over there. The best they can do is to send money.
That is extremely true and I'm happy you say that. If you mean the Middle East it's kind of disgusting what western world feminists are doing there such as sending nail polish or makeup. They don't want that because that is their religion but the ones who do want it should be getting it. Sadly, I'm afraid there are slight problems in the way such as terrorist organizations that the US army has been trying to eradicate for more than a decade. But some women join the military to help those women so your point is kinda flawed. Thank you for your valid opinion.
@bat0209 I actually don't just mean in the middle east there are also other parts of the world where women are less free.
Do tell, I'm confused. Africa? Yeah women do 90% of the work and have iron bands around their chest to prevent from being sexually assaulted and bringing dishonor on the family name.
The main sex trafficking countries? That sure is terrible indeed. All of the arguments I've heard for the less fortunate women provide examples of women from the Middle East. Sorry I misconstrued
ok go to middle eastern countries and set them straight.
The point of why we need it is so that can happen. 1 person can't do it alone. Im not a magician. But if people actually came together and stopped being a bunch of anal pessimists then maybe it can actually happen. But it won't with people like you to drag something good down.
Wow,,,
That what people been saying. There are sexiest people in first countries yes but there are many many people who would call them out on it. We have a voice. In certain middle Eastern countries women don't get a voice. If they speak they could risk death. If a man speak on their behalf they could risk death. No one has a voice your choices are follow the mode or die. Women are treated as property and the man are raised to think it normal. That's where we need feminism. But no one will go there. Because they won't simply be challenged their bloody lives would be at risk.
well there are thousands of feminists rallying together all the time
how am i dragging you guys down?
you aren't dragging anybody down,,, your statements are articulate and realistic
women have their rights?
I do not think this is true
I think by stature they may be equal but in real life there is real need to still fight for them
So some feminism is needed as much as as ever,
Would you go into detail with that claim? You have 1,000 characters use them.
I'd like to have an open and honest conversation with a feminist about what they want, and to be able to express things I feel need worked on, so that we can work together better on fixing the problems we face.
Message me then?
@TeaMoney I can't message you as is. You have to be following me for us to be able to talk.
We need feminism because women can't take care of themselves without lots of government intervention. Their emotions take over
I think we need feminism but we also need something to help men be proud of being men
I agree
Um, do you have any idea how much more powerful womens' privileges are compared to men?
Yes im well aware. Each side has their advantages. Im for mens rights as well. But that isn't what this rant was about now was it?
It's about why you believe feminism is still needed here, and I disagree.
Did i say just here? No i did not.
Other areas, yes. I agree with you.
you talk about all these great things you want to solve and you even want to fight for womens rights globally. thats all nice but why dont you focus on getting the respect of men by solving the birth rate problem instead? feminists always talk about getting rights this discrimination by men that but you got nothing to show for yourselves.
Oh, I expected some social problems instead of these. But feminism is very much needed I totally agree.
Yes! I love this. So many women around the world still face so much discrimination, oppression, and abuse, we have to stand up for those who can't speak for themselves.
But not protest OUR gov't to increase awareness. That's what feminists are doing nowadays, when really we should be letting Trump bomb the hell out of radical Islam, which should lessen effect of Sharia Law.
Are you one of those women? How were you discriminated against?
@SmartiePantsSanchez If it's okay for Trump to bomb Meca because you hate Islam is it okay for me to bomb Wall Street because I hate capitalism?
@Bezbozhnikustanka IT'S NOT ABOUT HATING ISLAM!!! I DON'T HATE ISLAM!!! IT'S ABOUT ENDING THE PHENOMENON OF KILLER MINDSETS!!!
We need feminism now more than ever. The feminazis need to get to the Muslim countries where the real oppression of women is taking place.
I find it ironic feminists want everything to be gender neutral except the name of their movement... I choose to be egalitarian as men have many problems too.
@LovemesomeBumble ๐๐๐ This made my day, thank you!
I never said everything should be gender neutral so try again
Ok. If a man gets raped by a woman and she gets pregnant, he has to pay child support. I'd say that's a greater issue in the west than "manspreading" or "mansplaining"
What about in other, non-western countries where women who it bad though?
Perhaps I'd be a feminist if the movement concentrated most of its efforts where women are actually oppressed, but most don't.
Also, before those 200 girls got kidnapped by boko haram, thousands of men and boys were slaughtered and no one cared. That shows one of the main problems in all societies - people care less about men. You can call yourself a feminist if you like, but I will always be egalitarian as men have some major - largely ignored - issues too.
Ok first of all i dont see why there's a problem with the way someone sits. Im not against that OR mansplaining. Thats not even a thing. And the main reason i am a feminist is for women in 3rd world countries soooo. I dont stop being something just to be something else. I can be more than one thing
Give it a few more years. Once the muslims take over and implement sharia law.
We still live in a sexist world where people slut shame and rape blame.
and false rape accuse and every Tv show portrays the father as a moron. toughen up buttercup
@kickme What's wrong? Mad a woman had her own opinion?
No mad that a woman loves being a victim
@Scooby225 all they have is opinions and they never stop talking about them. Its like a broken record
XD XD
You are a feminazi. I could have understood your point if you didn't go into a fucking rant about unnecessary details. I could barely read this.
And you're a 14 yo old clueless girl who got that word from a lowclass meme. Tell me which of my points are wrong then, since you're so smart.
Just because someone grabbed you inappropriately doesn't mean every male is a sexual offender. The dress code, I will admit, may get a little unnecessary at times, but that does not mean you are to go on a rant. As far as I know, boys can't wear shirts with slogans like you have mentioned on them. There is discrimination in other countries, but feminists rarely mention that. Instead, you guys tend to rant about how much you hate men.

I guess i'm the only female whoe liked it๐

Another point ^
The only good thing I can say about this is that you were honest about it being a rant. Another stupid feminist rant. *sigh*
I know right?
Another stupid snowflake *sigh*. You mean to tell me that women in 3rd world countries dont deserve freedom? You're an idiot if you think that. Shocker.
Feminism isn't about equality. You say that is has one focus, yet it's a political movement. They're not supposed to be focusing on one gender. It's sexist and man hating. Most feminist that believes in actual equality is rare and they're usually exiled from conventions and etc.
All protests have a main focus. I believe in equality but not because im a feminist. Bc thats just who i am. Believing in mens rights doesn't stop me from being a feminist. Its not rare for a feminist to want equality. Many do. Its simply that the focus of this movement is women
Most of the people who speak for the moment don't support equality. Yes, there are feminists that do support equality, but a lot of them say they do. They either don't realize they don't support it or they just try to hide it. Feminism used to be about equality until around 10-15 years ago.
You can't just assume that most feminists dont support equality. There are no statistics to prove that. Great figures are VERY VERY devoted feminist that have fans with the same beliefs. F. e. Emma Watson, Zendaya, Amandla Steinberg, Adele and many many other figures. Basically every female celeb. And they have spread positive influence in feminism. Yet people like to forget that and only focus on the negative
I'm not assuming it. It's more based off of the famous people who speak for feminism. Also, it is rare for a feminist to want equality.
Do women still need feminism in America? No. They don't, women have more right then men now a days. If a woman wants to get paid fairly then she better be able to do the same amount work as her male co-worker. especially if the job requires hard labor and picking up heavy stuff.
You had me then you lost me at "she better.."
You do know like half of the things you listed aren't related to feminism, right? What does a woman being on her period and touching people have to do to with feminism? That's a cultural belief system and I doubt feminism can change that. You'd need more of a shift in political power to make any sort of progress with something like that.
And being a feminist isn't a horrible thing. Being a femi-nazi is.
Feminism is also about influence. Having a period is a part of being a woman. Not a part of politics
