Today's take is going to be about the middle east and the differences we have from the rest of the world

So, most people wonder how is it in the middle east and what somethings are different from the rest of the world, it is time to shed some light on this matter:

Da Middle Earth

- Sex :

Wait !

This is a big thing in the middle east, most people prefer to keep their virginity till marriage, now this is the general idea in societies but as you know things changes and people are losing it , but not as much as you think as in different cultures, it is not only a religious thing , but also it is a part of our culture.

-Dating:

The only dates I got !

It mostly done in secret without the knowledge of the parents or family members , maybe some friends or siblings would know but that is it, but now it is more common and you can hear your parents asking if you have a date while going out (they doubt me sometimes but they are never right hahaha) .

- Hook ups:

No hooks !

It is not common here, and it is refused by society as it is seen unethical act but that doesn't mean it is not there , actually it is spreading day by day and it is becoming gross , mostly guys do hook ups in here girls would be thinking that it is her boyfriend and the guy would be fooling her (or the other way).

- Moving in together:

Not so fast !

This is a rare thing to happen I actually don't know many people who have done that in here , but most people would wait till they get married before they do this.

- Sexting:

No ! just no !

It is becoming common around here , I don't know how it goes like I avoid any sexual topic but girls always end up bringing it up and ....okay I will stop here, so I never thought that girls do it around here but surprisingly they do , I guess since they don't want to lose their virginity they will take this.

- Drinking:

No Drinking in streets !

It is not likely to see people drink in the streets here, we have bars and clubs that is about it but drinking alcohol is viewed as a bad thing , specially among Muslims here plus it is super expensive hahaha.

There you have it folks , I hope you can now relate a bit that these things are not good in the public's eye and they are mostly disapproved in here but that doesn't mean that people don't do these things in here in fact many of my friends have done all of the above, as I know that I won't do anything of the above (I HOPE) I can say that these things we can live without, but I think it is up to the person and the place they grow up in, although I have been exposed to drinking I never did and always said no to it.

I hope you understand in the end , we have freedom but we can't liberate our selves from the society morals and standards that we have.

I was born and raised in the US and pretty supportive and patriotic of my country’s core values and beliefs. Despite this, I do like the attributes that you’ve listed about the Middle East. I’m not sure how accurate or true this list is but I do want to mention some of the things I do like and support. I do believe that hooking up is not something I support for various biological and psychological reasons that I’ve labeled out elsewhere. I also agree that alcohol is not good and drinking should be discouraged and viewed as a bad thing overall if done habitually or more than just college experimentation.

Because I know Jordan isn't as strict or as radical.
Also, when it comes to dating and sex, I heard Christian parents are actually stricter about it than Muslim parents.
And doesn't the wife usually move in with her husband's family?

And I actually know a Middle Eastern girl who dated two guys and they both kind of used her for sex. But that happens in the U. S. too.

Most of them are a bit free, even in KSA they had parties, even pool parties... And much more

Rape is everywhere in the world, I'm in the Middle East, it's so rare to hear about it in my country but I've heard it happens sometimes in some other countries around us, then again don't consider it s fact just because you heard a couple of cases or seen a post, those only got viral because of how rare they are, unless you yourself got raped, which I don't wish for anyone, and I doubt it since your speaking as if you're from another place. India has never imprisoned foreigners for reporting the rapists to the authority. The worst is the rapists might be free from legal punishment. However, a large number of European tourists and two Australian women were put in the jail in UAE/Saudi for 1 year because the court told them that it was their fault to get raped. Another thing is, of course India "seems" to show highest statistic due to the high population and of course, the cases were REPORTED.

Yeah. The law over some parts of the Middle East seems to be crazy. In Saudi, there are thousands of maids who have been abused by their employers. Most of them are Filipinos, Sudanese, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi. Nevertheless, I have met many nice Arabs though. Bad people are everywhere.

Rape is arguably "rare" because there's little what is considered "rape" in Middle East, in my perspective. A woman isn't in the mood to fuck her husband? Force her to have sex, what will she do? Go to the police to report it? She'll likely get an answer like "herp derp islam says you gotta spread your legs for your husband", then likely her husband will get informed she tried to speak and as an added bonus to a previous rape, a domestic assault (beating) will follow.

Additionally, apparently in their societies women must be herded like cattle (i. e. escorted by a male) for that exact reason; to keep away men from harassing her, hence apparently good amount of women prefer to stay separately or remain at home to avoid it.

The beating of thing is not strict to the middle east. And FYI there is no script that allows to beat a woman, but to punish her in many ways but not beating her up.
And it is never wrong for a man to keep his lady safe, and many females go out alone at 12 am and be safe I saw it with my own eyes

Believe me Mr. AbdKilani high rape statistics only show that a country is cracking down more vigorously on rape, not that rape rates are actually higher there than in countries with low rates. Only a small percentage of rapes are actually prosecuted or even reported. Many countries especially Middle Eastern ones, don't consider spousal rape a crime at all.

Well amongst many of the Muslim countries in that area, sex slavery is a real problem. Plus they have up to four wives (not including slaves) so the whole respectable view on sex is pretty redundant and meaningless.

I know a Muslim community near where i stay, no bars. They effectively banned them by forcing the bar owners and locals out of the neighborhood. Its scary.

The middle East is also so hot. I feel bad they live in an actual desert.
