  Unless if the regs there have changed in the couple of years, four countries DO conscript females as well as males; Norway, Israel, Bolivia and North Korea (no surprise there!).

  Yes...because "equality"...has never won any fight over equality in any realm of society for men or women. No one has handed either sex an equality battle just because they said, hey ,you know, equality should win, they've always been long protracted fights if they've won at all. For example saying, you know, equality does not deal with pregnant women or the children issue for single female parents?
