Why I think women should be armed

While doing a scroll on Facebook watching videos I came across this...Man climbs into woman's apartment

and honestly this creeped me the fuck out! More furious than anything that he got let go and came out that "he's innocent until proven guilty"... my guy literally CLIMBED up to her apartment, broke her door open and was incredibly creepy! Sorry but he didn't come for a friendly chat and not all women are this lucky to get away before anything worse could happen. Disgusted that this man can walk freely while she has to live traumatised! And this happens so often with women...

A comment under that video I happened to like very much, "I had a break in about two months ago, I live by myself and have a shotgun on my wall like inches away from my face, I heard my door being kicked in, I grabbed my gun and aimed at the door until it busted open, two guys stood in shock I told them to wait for the poilice or I'd blow their heads off, they were arrested and charges, even tho I handled the situation it still shook me up a little bit."

So badass and honestly in a situation like this I think guns are a need! I'd rather pull out a gun and possibly shoot someone (shoot to harm, not to kill) rather than get raped and/or even killed.

Men are scary and more often than not are bigger and stronger than us women. To be armed and know how to use your weapon well along with staying calm or even knowing how to fight (something like MMA) would be incredibly handy. Even spray a bitch with bear spray, pepper spray you'd have to be close to use and even harm yourself.

Living in New Zealand you can't even carry pepper spray or a taser, they're illegal to own. Now while New Zealand very safe, I know so many women who have been sexually assulted. How does a women then protect herself when its hard to even own a gun, can't own pepper spray or a taser and more often than not, the men walk free while the women are traumatised, depressed, scared, etc.

I was home alone with a friend when a man tried breaking into our house. Men who followed me walking to her house in the evening days before. What can we use to protect ourselves with when it's illegal to carry even pepper spray... had to grab a massive knife ready to stab a fucker if needed.

This honestly makes me furious. Sorry but personally if I owned a gun and some man broke into my home, you best be believe I'll pull it on him.

I'm honestly so scared to have a daughter some day and I pray that I don't! I know way too many women, family, friends, friends of friends, etc, who have been raped and/or been abused by men and weren't able to protect themselves nor were they able to get justice.

I just needed to have my rant after watching this woman in fear of a man breaking into her apartment.

Is here anything legislatively you can do to make defending yourself easier? I doubt it since your government no longer needs to listen to or care about what their tax cattle think or say since they have all the guns. If you can get to a 3D printer there were plans going around the internet for plastic frame guns. Coming up with materials and machining expertise for the barrel and magazines and making ammunition isn’t going to be easy, and it won’t last as long as commercial made guns but desperate times call for desperate measures.

My job put me face to face with horrible humans.
Then I have two girls.
I raise them making sure they know about the threats out there.
But I didn't want to raise them to live in fear.
"Don't be scared, be prepared."
My girls are tired of hearing it.
Life can be awesome and wonderful but you have to take the scum of society into account.
The bad guy should be afraid of something.
You've GOT to be prepared for facing your worst nightmare and make that MF pay.

I'm sorry, you just have to set aside a part of your mind being as ruthless as you can possibly be BEFORE it ever happens.
If there are laws that restrict your ability to defend yourself then you have to find ways to work around the restrictions. Vote. And think through the worst nightmare that you are vulnerable to and prepare yourself for it.

I totally agree with what was said in your my take. Everyone has the right to protect themselves against crimes that are committed against them. But with our current leadership, and I use the term loosely. They seem to want to punish the victims and let the offenders walk free.

Unfortunately, there are so many variations and interpretations of the laws. If a person thinks of the possible outcomes of defending themselves. In most cases you wouldn’t know what to do.

As for shooting to wound. Is probably not the greatest idea. If they are even found guilty of threatening your life. You still could be responsible for their medical bills the rest of their life! Center mass is taught at the gun courses that I have taken! Just make sure that there really is a threat and not some confused person in the wrong place!
A dead criminal can’t sue you! But his survivors can!

As for me? It will be center mass or I will not be pulling out the firearm!

Good TED talk. I know a lot of cops and they tell me that more women than men are carrying guns these days. I recently bought handgun and got some training and I visited a range after. There were just as many women as men there. Some of them were sort of hot too. If I was a single guy I would think it would be a good place to meet women.

Yes I agree with you that women should be armed. Guns, swords, sai, bo staff, crossbow, knives, clubs, axes, spears, bow and arrow, claws, anything you think that would help you in a event of danger.

I'm absolutely for anyone being armed. Armed women and armed minorities are harder to oppress and hurt, armed people in general are in my opinion and experience. It's sad and ridiculous you can't even have something as trivial as pepper spray to defend yourself! Personal bit of advice, try to get to the gym (if you don't) and learn something like jiu-jitsu for self defense.

exactly why people need to have weapon ownership rights and/or close combat training. stuff like this is bond to get worse if people allow the government to restrict or banned self defense rights.

Of course men have home invasions! Again, I’m talking from a woman’s point of view. Living alone being a woman were more likely to be raped and/or killed.

Hide and call the police… who then arrive to your house also unarmed and carrying pepper spray in their car🙃 that’s how they showed up all 4 times to our house when we had a guy break in.

Yup! Exactly. Then when they get to your house the officers (both men) call you liars and that were just being scared girls. I know a huge man standing at my broken back door when I see one. Tried telling me the cats opened my back door🙄 left and that was it. Then it happened several other times and the women officers believed us… still nothing ever got done about it

I dont think women should be armed. If they use their weapon incorrectly then theyll have to go to prison for a long long time. Its best to actually have a male around who knows how to fight back.

Well I’m not going to invite a guy to stay at my house when I want to have a sleep over with a friend? Maybe other people shouldn’t break into other peoples homes lmao.
And actually I just watched a video where men broke into a woman’s house armed with guns, she came out shooting and shot one of the guys who then died, didn’t go to prison because it was in self defence.
So if a man comes in with a gun or knife and wants to harm me in MY home then yes I will pull out a gun.
With being armed I think it’s good to be taught how to handle a gun, not just buy one and be clueless on what to do.

No, you want to scare them off, not kill them. Injure them so they’re still there when police get there. Me being a woman I fear in a home invasion and home alone, I’d get raped which sadly in my area I’ve hear happen a lot, mostly druggies or gang members doing it. You see a gang member in your home and you know what’s coming (to join gangs you have to do several things to become a member and for a gang in my area, one of the things was to rape someone) so yeah I see a man in my house, rape and death come to mind so I will shoot to get them away from me. It’s my house, they’re trespassing and wanting to harm me? (More often than not if a man is stalking you and comes into your home at 1am… he’s not there to have a nice friendly chat especially if he’s brought friends)
