Why are socially awkward people always looked down on?

Cause we are fucking rebels and can't give a crap what the latest fashion is and who is the leader of the group and who you have to suck up to, and what to say and what to wear and a lot of bullcrap.

People look down on me cause Im different and that is scary period. I question everything and think quite a lot. Pleasing others and conserving the status quo is not my thing and to make matters even better and infuriating, i have so my own business and dont depend on others to be liked. I have a few close friends but appart from them, I dont care about everyone else cause in the end its a load of bull.

I am socially awkward cause Im too lazy to give a shit and mold my behaviour and many find that deeply insulting.

Because we are seen as amusement for the outgoing people. From my experience, the outgoing ones enjoy laughing at me when I feel uncomfortable. It's something that they can't understand so they think it's funny that some people can't even talk to others. Oh and how I'm talking about the outgoing ones only applies to the people I know. I know that not all outgoing people do this, I'm not stereotyping C:

Yeah I understand that too. I'm more introverted, I like to stay at home and watch movies and such. I'm so bad at talking to guys that my parents call me "lesbian" as my name sometimes.-. My sister tells me not to change, so I'll tell you the same thing~ Don't try to be what society sees as "normal", just be yourself! You'll find a girl you'll really like some day and you'll be comfortable around her, and she may even be socially awkward with you! C:

As someone who is incredibly socially awkward, I don't feel like I'm looked down upon at all.

For those that are, I guess it's because people tend to disapprove of people who are different. There are socially accepted ways to behave, and people who stray from those ways aren't viewed favourably.

I love socially awkward people! Most of the time I don't approach them though because I'm afraid they won't like me or they'll ignore me because I'm a very social person so our personalities could clash.

I think because guys are more accepting of being weird and girls in most cases are trying to be too politically correct. So if a guy is out of the norm he would get flack from it, while guys are usually more lax about it. I know this isn't always the case but thats generally what I see from the public
