I'm not sure it's mostly men that are driving the fashion trends for body image that the media portrays. I would argue that it's women who are behind what gets presented as "ideal" in the fashion media.
Lol. How many women do you see dating men significantly shorter than they are? Now tell us again about how hard it is to meet some physical preferences?
Were also expected to just deal with it because if we complain about womens standards we are written off as "being bitter" or "whining".
However when you complain your issues are taken seriously and anyone while anyone who dares to question your complaints is labeled as "sexist" or "mysoginistic"
I've had experiences with this before but more from girls than guys! I think girls objectify other girls so much worse than a guy could ever! And, I have been turned by guys before with how I look which sucked! But that's life
But it's when there is ever going to be doubt... that you listen to your head and not the media. There is beauty everywhere, it has many forms. And everyone's taste is different

I somewhat practically drool over very attractive men. (Usually models on my FB feeds) I have my moments. It's just hormones. It does somewhat poison kids minds but it's been going on since forever. It's not like it's gotten worse.
It's not just men. Women do a great job of objectifying themselves too. That being said not all men and women are like that. Who the hell buys the magazines with unrealistic supermodels wearing underwear? Not men.
How about Forbe's most sexiest man alive? How do you think we feel when we realize we will never even come close to that kind of physique? You take women's side yet you dont give a shit about how men feel do you?
Oh, you love it. Maybe not you, but I don't know a woman, who's successfully with a REAL man, who doesn't like the fact he loves her body and her parts.
Hold up... You know women objectify men as well? Look at any magazine with men in it. Today you'll probably see chiseled jawlines, 6 pack, and toned biceps. Objectification goes both ways

Actually, it's mostly gay men in the fashion industry that are pushing that image.

Exactly impossible.
Lol, so guys complain about how women don't find males attractive on the whole, but now they want to claim that we objectify them?
Make your minds up, lads.
Are you really going to say women dont have a ideal standard for what makes a man attractive?
Men face pressure to be tall, muscular, confident, outgoing, smooth, funny, smart, and wealthy.

women objectify men as much. man just happen to be more visual beings and it´s pretty easy to point out visual objectification.
female objectification of men happens in regards to the ability to protect, provide and lead.
I hope you realize this goes for us men too

I objectify the shit out of men so. I'm not gonna bitch.
There's so much wrong in what you're saying and so much you're overlooking.

How would you like it if your man told you, "I love you only for your mind."?
its not only men objectifiny women its also the other way arround... We live in superficial world
So?
Chris Hemsworth makes me feel bad about myself.
Big deal.
Funny how a thread like this can remain, but a thread criticizing women in any way will immediately be removed.
I have that problem, i just psot it back up again and then have a go at admins.
These "admins" are women because it would be sexist not to have them... as you can see... women make crappy and highly unfair mods.
Moderation is mainly required to make the internet safe for women and children.
Or rather, to oppress men for the sake of women and children.
Women abuse this moderation system to the fullest
again, almost only female children

Guys feel this way too, it's just not as pointed out.
I don't care that much about other people's oversensitivity.
i think it is more women think that is what guys want, therefore objectifying yourselves
