Strongly disagree. So many people think something is a problem when it isn't, then call you privileged because you don't have that problem. Ummm no. Someone being smarter and/or stronger than you doesn't make them privileged.
I disagree. In my opinion, that statement would be better used to describe ignorance rather than privilege. I can understand why that statement would be used to describe privilege considering how privileged people tend to be blissfully ignorant.
I think he's using the wrong word. It is possible to be privileged and still care about the issues of people who don't have the same privileges. However, privilege does make it easy for people to ignore issues that don't affect them personally.
no that is not the definition of privilege. that is a phrase currently popular among people who have no arguments for their cause and therefor want to dismiss and disqualify all opinions different from their own by default: "if you agree with me that proves I'm right, if you don't agree with me that proves you're privilged and I'm right"...
I think this statement describes ignorance more so than it describes privilege. However, it can be difficult to separate the two because many privileged people are ignorant of how the rest of the world lives.

Very true... case in point: Western Feminism - The most privileged group of humans to ever exist in human existence whining and complaining about fabricated issues to play victim, while completely ignoring and mocking actual issues of groups which actually have issues.
it is true in some cases but not all, the case you brought up, yes it is. But that doesn't mean that people who don't have to deal with it are privileged. They have problems of their own.
Not exactly. You can have privilege and still empathize with problems others that are less privileged face. I believe he is describing arrogance or narcissism
No that is not what priveledge means. I'd say that statement better describes ignorance.

Just my opinion I guess, but the people who strongly disagree are privileged. If you are not a minority and you dont think minorities are oppressed, that is a privilege you have. You are privileged because you are lucky enough to be in a situation where you can easily blind yourself to the struggles of minorities.
If your looking for the most privileged, just look for the people claiming they need even MORE special treatment.
My work ethic makes me privileged

Nope. "Privilege: a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people." I guess to a certain extent I could see where this person is going, but I don't particularly agree with his statement.

For the benefit of the uneducated among us I shall provide a definition.
"a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people."
Name for me please, one expressed privilege that meets that definition that white people have in society over any other group please.

Privilege is the idea that other people have it better than you. It's an excuse for your own personal failures in society.
A lot of people don't acknowledge privilege, kind of part of the whole problem.

Disagree.
Someone else having a problem I don't have doesn't automatically make me privileged in any meaningful sense of the word.
I love how the men chose disagree and the females chose agree
I noticed that, too:

No, I don't think privilege is real unless you're a millionaire.
Lol privilege is when you assume your personal problem is everybodies problem.
