Surely reducing the choices of women to being a result of the actions of men flies in the face of everything that feminism is trying to achieve? If women are independent and empowered then they can legitimately choose to be a housewife if that's where they feel they want to be.
On this point I agree with you entirely.
Radical feminists will hate this idea because it is like workers crossing the picket line. How dare you choose to work when we are all trying to strike! You must follow our agenda whether you like it or not!

"Internalized misoginy" is a cliché feminists use to shame any woman who disagrees with them.
Of course, the fact that real feminism would be "women should be able to do whatever the hell they want" (and not "should do whatever the feminists say or be slandered") goes way over their tiny retarded brains...
Wanting to personally act in a traditional role is anyone's personal choice and I respect that. But being a woman against feminism means you're a hypocrite whenever you vote and wear pants or pay for your own meal. If you want to be a stay at home mom, that's perfectly fine. It's your choice. But if you believe in equality, then you believe in feminism. (Yes, there are radical "feminists" who go too far and want women to be superior to men or some crazy shit. But the root meaning of the term is equality of the sexes.)
Internet sliced misogyny is when women say things like "I deserve to make less at work even though I'm just as qualified and work as much as my male coworkers." or "I deserve to be raped because I was around a trusted male friend in broad daylight."
Feminists support women's right to choose. Deal with it.
The issue isn't when somebody chooses to do that, the issue is when they're forced or pressured to.

yeah pretty much. feminism is oppressing women the same way they claim men oppressed women for thousands of years.
