How do you "ban" a zoo? that's what I want to know.

No. Zoos are great for species that are being hunted to extinction and safe from hunters.
That's plain stupid. Zoos exist to preserve animals in danger of extinction.

yes. we should have animals roam free in their natural habitat, humans should be in caged vehicles to see them. Wild animals are known for developping depression when they live in captivity

Umm no sometimes the mother abandoneds the child, and if the animal was going extinct then it would be bad for them in the wild. Yes I know they r wild animals but sometimes there are snags in the way. Which by the way aren't human fault!!!

Thats the point of a prison. keep captive a delinquent as a form of reprimend. But a lion or an elephant inside a zoo.. (say in nyc, say in nebraska, say anywhere they dont belong) IS captivity. as they were taken by force into that space. Far, very far from bieng a deliquient.
SOME zoos may have specialised clinics. But guess what! They need them to take care of animals.
My point is some zoos are ok. Santuaries are different from zoos. The majority of zoo should close because they are trash.

there's a diffrence between prisons and locking wild animals in cages for the sole purpose of our entertainment. sanctuaries and wild reserves are very diffrent and mostly beneficial

Captivity serves four purposes: education, funding, repopulation, and research. While there are zoos that need to be closed for maltreatment, blanketing them under the same category would remove the best available option for many species to survive. Without them, great conservationalists would have never reached the sane fame or effect on the public.
