Singer tells white people to move to the back at her concert so people of color can move to the front. Isn't this racist?

Lido Pimienta was performing in Nova Scotia and told white people they need to move to the back and allow people of color to move to the front. Apparently she does this at all her performances. This time a white volunteer who was at the front to photograph the event refused to move until she was thrown out. Wtf world are we living in now where blatantly segregating people by their color is NOT racist, but refusing to give up your seat to someone of color is? Anyone remember Rosa Parks?
Thank God this wasn't in America, but it's making me think twice about travelling abroad. The festival was in agreement with this "artist". No festival that supports racist segregation will ever get my money. When will the rest of the world stand up and say enough is enough of this tolerated racism toward "whites"?

I did some reading on it and her reasoning is absolutely retarded.

She states: "[putting white people at the back] was not meant to be an act of HATE AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE. It was meant, as it has always been to me, [as] an act of love for the children of these African Nova Scotians (...) the act of enjoying ourselves uninterrupted by a white person who feels threatened by our presence."

She went on to say she didn't ask white people to move to the back, which she apparently did ask.

Anyway, she motivated it by saying that she wanted to help the cause of coloured people. She's not doing that, she's just making herself look like a racist idiot and now people get angry, which is not exactly furthering the cause for coloured people.

yeah this is something I didn't even know was happening in the music world. unbelievably racist of her and the festival organizers. Hopefully she's the only one with this attitude but I doubt it. :(

looking at it on a surface level yes it appears to be racist but a little delving into the musician and you can quickly understand there is far more to it than simple racial segregation

White people in attendance either had paid more for their seats or arrived earlier than others to get their seats closer to the stage. I wasn't around when Rosa Parks had to give up her seat for white people after working hard on her feet for 8 hours or more that day. Now they know how it feels. It doesn't feel good at all. It's wrong! It was wrong back then. It is wrong, now. She shouldn't of asked that at her concert. It was wrong of her to throw the person out when he purchased his ticket. Thank you. :) Yeah for me, music is what's ALWAYS been there bringing people together. I recognize a small portion is made to "divide" us, but the majority is something that the world can come together for. I've been to concerts where there was less that 20 white people in the entire audience, and I never once felt divided against everyone else in the room. On the contrary, we were all TOGETHER for the music. It sucks to see someone using her music and stage to try and divide us.

As a white person, I would have left the festival period let alone the concert if something like that happened to me. I'm against even calling people "colored", it evokes imagery of back in the days when segregation was used to advantage whites unfairly against blacks & hispanics & others in facilities of business or even water fountains. People are not "colored", & if we were to say they are there is no reason why white people in their many shades of skin tone wouldn't count.
