The more I meet and talk to people, the more I read the news and watch TV, the more I realize that the US is becoming a country composed of a gender war instead of an equal peaceful nation.

here’s a simple equation: More feminism = more men putting their guard up and becoming even more sexist, because they don’t understand feminism’s intentions, nor they want women to hold an equal position. Maybe fear? Maybe just an ego thing? Maybe their upbringing or religious reasons?

Feminists have a blind spot the size of an elephant, namely:

The reason males are as they are is that females chose to mate with those males over aeons. If women had wanted docile men - so-called "allies" - that is who they would have mated with and conferred status upon.

Feminism is just a special interests group based on an unscientific ideology.

And feminists always defend it by providing the dictionary definition. But who cares about the original meaning of something if it has morphed into something unrecognizable?

Most feminists incessantly attack men for pretty much everything we do differently than women. I have to laugh when they complain about women being shamed for their sexuality. Men literally suppress 90% of themselves just to be acceptable to women.

Don't get me started on "the patriarchy". Oh, you mean the system in which 80% of females reproduce, and 40% of men do? How great for men. The system in which men die in wars while women stay at home? The system in which 3 times as many men commit suicide as women?

I hate mosts feminists because they are ignorant of science but still see fit to lecture everyone else about how they should behave.

There is always going to be an "Us and Them" mentality in anything involving humans. When "Us" gets attacked or blamed over and over again - rightly or not - those in "Us" eventually get defensive - vocal at first but, unless the rhetoric is toned down, violence will ensue.

This is exactly why we have an Alt-Right (white males being blamed for everything) and now an Alt-Left. (liberals finally getting fed up with being pushed around and lied about by conservative media).

Feminism is only one part of a bigger picture in this current version of an ongoing part of human societies conflicting with the human nature of its members.

I don't think it's becoming "more" sexist as much as I think we're becoming more vocal social/interpersonal/professional issues in a way we haven't seen before. And unfortunately, I think many people (on both sides) are having a hard time expressing their views and understanding the views of the other side. We often argue with one another without *listening* to what the other side is actually saying, and that doesn't benefit anyone.

The US has never been an equal peaceful nation... I'm pretty sure it never will be either. It's already incredibly racist (primarily at the core) and adding sexism is basically returning to the age of the Puritans. I left the US a while back because my original home was much better and I never asked to be in the US to begin with. Also, feminism isn't what it is supposed to be. There's no reason to even call it feminism anymore. That's why men put their guards up. It's not about equality, it's about power. The older feminism though, was equality focused.

The internet and media amplify certain narratives that make it seem like things are getting worse. Don't judge men based on anonymous online trolls. Judge them by the everyday interactions you have with them face to face.

Also remember that what you view as the intentions of feminism is very different from what many other feminists consider its intentions. Just because someone is criticizing one school of feminism doesn't mean they are criticizing all schools of feminism.

Yes, the US is becoming more sexist and divided, but it's not for the reasons you stated. It's not because men don’t understand feminism’s intentions, it's not because men don't want women to hold an equal position and it's not because of some fear. It's because feminism of the sexism of feminism. It's because of the very gynocentric notion of "equality" feminists are fighting for, and it's because of the dishonesty and divisiveness of feminism.

Most men are all for equality, but we are just getting increasingly sick and tired of modern feminism. And it only makes matters worse when feminists say men don't understand feminism's intention. It’s necoming more divided in general. That’s a direct result of technology. First generation to listen to music or watch movies individually instead of collectively. First generation to have the choice in what news one heard. Prior to everyone paying attention to major news networks, newspapers et al who reported on generally accepted facts people. Now choose news sources that agree with them.

That they do understand feminism's intentions is the problem. To be fair, though, a multitude of women didn't want the ability to vote. It was a privilege that came with a lot of responsibility as well. People have this idea that women were these poor, defenseless souls before feminism came along, but it's just not true. Most of them were quite happy with men and women fulfilling different roles in society, which is why many of the biggest groups against the suffrage movement was other women.

I assume you mean that perhaps you're frustrated that people who call themselves "Feminist" today don't seem to really have a focus?
