A girl I barely know added me on Facebook. Does it mean anything?

On Monday, I met this girl for only, like, three minutes. We only introduced our names and talked briefly about school before I had to excuse myself to go somewhere. I almost completely forgot our meeting. Then, today, she friend requests me on Facebook even though we barely met and she apparently rarely uses Facebook (only 16 friends, very inactive Wall).

I told one of my friends and he says it means she likes me. I don't want to assume anything though since I barely know her. What do you think?

Don't read into it. It's just silly Facebook, too many people try and "collect" friends on there. Maybe she is just one of those people that adds people she so much as talks to briefly. I wouldn't worry about it unless she starts flirting with you or something.

There are plenty of people who will add just about anybody on facebook, including people they don't know very well or even at all. Did she send you a message with the friend request? That might mean something.

if she has had her facebook a while it may mean she wants to get to know you better, but she may have just made her facebook and that is why she only has a few friends. if she just made her facebook, she is probably friend requesting everyone she can think of

not neccessarily, people just add almost everyone even if they've only met once.
