MGTOW (men going their own way) often say how women are so terrible and evil and vile and gold diggers and prostitutes and spread this with other MGTOW members.

i have seen a few women brushing it off by describing MGTOW as "just a bunch of bitter losers, who couldn't get the girl they wanted", "sour grapes" and "guys, who have had maybe 3 sour experiences from the opposite sex and then turned into bitter misogynists".

are women threatened by MGTOW? Is MGTOW a threat to women?

some said they are just being weeded out of the dating pool for good but with all of this misogyny growing proportionally in MGTOW it may not just be "a bunch of bitter losers" anymore.

I was curious about their mindset etc one an asked a question titled “what does MGTOW mean to you” on their subreddit.

I stated in the question that I have no problem whatsoever with the concept of MGTOW, but that some of their ideals (woman being insignificant beings lesser in every way to men for example) weren’t ones I could agree with.

I got a bunch of totally normal responses like “I just don’t feel like marrying” etc, and some people lecturing me in over 2000 words on how to never marry and a just straight out disturbing amount of hatred to anything female. Once I mentioned to him I’m female (didn’t really mention it) his advice turned into bitter hatred, saying things like “have fun riding the cock carousel”.
Whilst I was genuinely trying to understand him in the most empathetic way I could barely minutes ago.

So as anything else, I think it depends on the individual.

And to answer your question, no. I do not thing woman are threatened by MGTOW. Most probably haven’t ever encountered it in real life.
But that too depends on the individual I think.

When you ask a question like this, it gets filtered through the ego and emotion. Look at the responses. The first one immediately talks about misogyny, and the rest are mostly shaming attempts. The funny thing is, it's the same every single time anyone mentions Mgtow.

When you take a look at what happened with Japan, you can bet all of those at the top wish they could turn back the clock and have true understanding of the root cause as to why so many men felt that way. But they probably did the same thing you see in the comments and now their birth rate is at the lowest and their entire economy is screwed.

If one day I discovered a whole lot of the women I adore were deciding to avoid the majority of us, I'd be open to know why but that takes going beyond ego.

I think MGTOW makes women anxious about resources. Women are used to easily extracting resources from men. Women know we are not interested in buying them things. This also p~~~es them off.
Women love to show off their beasts of burden to the hive. Women seek approval from the hive.

The only reason why it's a "threat" is because it's a rather huge percentage of men and it's actually growing quite rapidly.

It's easy for these women to think of ONE guy who's MGTOW and dismiss him, but that's just it, it's hundreds of millions of men worldwide, and lots of men who don't self-identify as MGTOW are still exposed to their ideas and arguments online.

Women, on the other had, have their own propaganda, and so they are almost never exposed to any MGTOW ideas or arguments, just a feminist version of them that's been edited for their consumption. So their responses and counter-arguments are completely ineffective because they're responding to strawman arguments, not the arguments men are hearing.

I don't think MGTOW are really a threat to women, they're more of a threat to the economy because they aren't chasing after women, which means they don't need a job, a car, a house, a phone, or pretty much anything more than the bare necessities like food and water and electricity. You can't power a society or civilization when more than half of all the working-age men have no hope and no hope of ever having any hope.

So women can go ahead and dismiss MGTOW now, but their children will grow up in a shattered economy and a shattered world.

MGTOW don't generally consist of men that women perceive as "high value" anyway, so not necessarily.

Maybe my knowledge of MGTOW is limited, but I haven't understood MGTOW to necessarily be guys who think all women are evil/vile. Rather, these are guys who understand that many women tend to be hypergamous by nature, and are not willing to pursue any legally-binding relationship with a woman for fear of the risks.

An old buddy of of mine now lives out the philosophy of "going his own way" after his wife left him for another man. She would never marry the guy she left him for though because she was making bank on alimony payments from the husband she cheated on. He's a self-made multi-millionaire, having worked long hours to build his fortune, and yet half of his assets go to his ex-wife, and he's financially bound to her for life so long as she doesn't legally marry again.

Where the family and divorce court system largely appears to favor women based on the stats, I can understand why the MGTOW philosophy can appeal to men who have been or are afraid to get screwed over.

I'm not sure how I can be threatened by individuals who want nothing to do with me as a woman. They literally don't want to have any type of relationship, friendship or otherwise with me, and so be it.

There is the guy who just wants to be single and do his own thing, and then there is MGTOW, which is the extreme arm of that sentiment. I can't respect anyone who doesn't see or judge a person by their individual character and merit, vs. just lumping them all together having never met literally millions of them, and claiming they are all one way. We call those people in any other circumstance, -phobic, -ism, or -ist because their rationale and anger towards so many is misplaced and not based on fact. I get they want equality but they don't actually want it to be equal. They want more power then men and in all honesty they are getting it. It isn't fair. This is what I have read from mgtow articles. It seems to me that it is all about the avoidance of marriage because it is apparently very easy for the women to take advantage of the system and leave the man in a worse position than he was before the marriage. They see no point to put money, time and emotional energy into something when he knows all that can be taken from him at the whim of a woman who doesn’t love him anymore because divorce cases massively favor women. Also, if the woman becomes abusive, the man will most likely not be able to get help because people will assume he did something to deserve it and he can’t fight back because she will turn it around on him to make him look like the abuser. I don’t agree with most of these but those are a few examples I have read. These a probably men who have been taken advantage of way too many times in this way. They don’t seem to be of any threat to women but until something is done about it they will continue to see marriage as a trap.

No, not really. Very few men will "go MGTOW". And while I don't think that it's always the case, a lot of them are undesirable men anyway so women wouldn't have noticed them anyway.

A lot of them have this idea that their numbers are growing and that they're somehow getting revenge on women by not marrying, they think that eventually so many men will refuse to marry or get into relationships that they'll become desperate and that this will give men the upper hand - this is pure fantasy.
