or they can get a job and work and make money to support themselves rather than waste their life away or actually contribute something back to society. just a thought
which is always great to put on a resume when applying for real jobs. I play video games for a living. yeah because every boss/employer wants to hear that. they could get off their butts and develop a new skill or learn a new language or do something useful that would make the world a better place
@RobLovesDemi1234 If they're making $1,000+ a month gaming why exactly would they be looking for another job? If they were then it would be with a game design firm as a game tester in which case having it on your resume is a good thing.
I do get annoyed by people who condemn gaming because it's a waste of time but also watch movies all day... I don't even play video games as much as I used to because of work and I don't have as many people to play with now.
No idea honestly especially since games nowadays are so complex in their function that it requires more critical thinking and more adequate response time.
I don't know why they think that but I do know one guy who worked 3 months straight so he can get the Borderlands 3 diamond edition that's not lazy to me
I think it is very good as its proven there a benefits associated with gaming. Once that person is not playing 24/7, gaining weight, no exercise or no social interaction.

Because it typically requires sitting down in the coach for hours on end with no real beneficial goal other than (usuallybunhealthy) leisure?
@Prof_Don if the same amount of time is spent doing those things then why are you even assuming anyone said it was? Are you arguing with yourself because I canβt see anyone else here talking like that.

Because people are stupid. I mean. Its that simple. Its a stereo type. Just like stoners are stupid and brain dead. Same concept.
Well I don't think its wrong to say we are lazy, but like you pointed out their hobbies often aren't any less lazy.
I don't know, my mom will be like "hey stop doing that useless rubbish all day"; while she watches some garbage like love island on TV :/
That's the main point the OP is trying to make; watching TV is more mindless and less beneficial than playing video games
You gotta fight for your right to be a gamer! Some people are just ignorant and need to keep their opinions to themselves.

@RobLovesDemi1234 Some of the top gamers make damn good money playing games.

The same people that say that are likely the ones sitting there on their smart phones texting all day not even moving.

People are always out to judge us , something we can't escape
Gamer people aren't lazy they just have hobby their into just like anyone else.
People just dont think for themselves and copy what other people think. there's like nothing to do other than play games
No idea honestly especially since games nowadays are so complex in their function that it requires more critical thinking and more adequate response time.
Uhm I don't think gamers are lazy unless they don't have a job. Then it gets kinda stereotype of the old guy in the basement
Right!! My ex was a constant gamer, but he was very active in other areas of his life.
I agree with you, hobbies dont really tell much about people
If it's just a hobby for them, and they have a job, then I don't think people do think they're lazy. It's the gamers who don't work who are judged.
I dont know can't say for sure as I know not one gamer because people like me got greater things to do than sit on a couch and play games.
... like watch TV? π
gamers are not lazy at all. 🤣
whoever said that never played games 🤪.
They look like shit and all they do is play games that have 0 value.
Yea if i see them and they look lazy. I'm calling them lazy.
... so you're stereotyping someone as "lazy" based on their looks? π
It does seem like you only think people that games are the no-social-life types
@Prof_Don some do many don't. Many gamers look like shit.

How is binge watching TV or movies any different tho?
