I don’t think it’s offensive, people just need to keep in mind of culture appropriation
I agree. Braids were found on the Venus of Willendorf, which was created in 35000 BC in Austria. So anyone who wears braids and is not Austrian is appropriating Austrian culture.
The picture is box braids which was invented in 3500 b. c in South Africa, their similar to the eembuvi braids of Namibia or the braids from the Nile valley. A lot of woman would hide rice in their braids.
It is not offensive. Why can't it just been seen as a positive thing... always negative.
It's ok with me. They claimed Bo Derck started the braids. Which we know, she did not. I'm black and never wore braids. I used to get my hair relaxed. You know, making it straight, Did the white girl get offensive to me straighten my hair?
If you're really 63 that means you were born in the late 50's. Could you go to work with a afro in the 70's if you wanted?
@OurManFlint I'm really 63. I was born in the mid-50s. Anyway, there was no problem wearing afros to work, to church, or any else. where else. I tried wearing it, but my hair was long and soft. Everywhere you looked, all you could see were afros. I miss those days.
If you are wearing because you like the look and feel just do it. Seriously just fucking do it and don’t give a damn about what other people say.
This is supposed to be a free country. I don’t think a white girl would go to that extent to mock black women. Who gives a shit except radical libtards who will never get their heads out of their woke asses to see the light of day.
Anyone can do what they want with their hair. Black people can go out with their natural hair if they want, they can wear wigs or braids of any sort and white people can do the same. People of other races can also do the same.
The day Americans accept that will mark a step forward in solving systemic racism!
Doesn’t matter what chick it is. I just don’t like that hairstyle.
Careful, some chick on here might say you're racist because of that comment lol (it's happened)
I get that it’s more common among black women but either way people still hold their preferences.
Anyone can wear their hair as they wish. It’s just a hairstyle.
Is this a serious question? People can wear whatever hair they want. If it hurts your feelings, you need help.
Make sure you read the updates
About as offensive as black people wearing clothing, driving automobiles, entering a rectangular building, moving on a roadway or sidewalk, or using a computer, the internet or a cellular phone.
It really shouldn't be offensive. But some get offended at anything these days.
People can wear whatever they want. Why do people get angry about haircuts? I talked about cultural appreciation back in 2008 with college government. Over the years somehow it became cultural appropriation. Everyone’s so focused on bs topics that it makes it easier for everyone to lookup conspiracy topics as being normal. Can’t lookup ultraviolet medical breakthroughs since YouTube bans the videos, but I can find information about Bermuda Triangle, giants etc..., oh yeah things are fucked now.
It’s just a hairstyle, I don’t think anyone can really tell you how to wear your hair but the way things are now you never know but that’s like telling black people not to straighten their hair because it’s copying white peoples hair and it’s trademarked, lol so it’s really stupid when you think about it if they say anything to you just mention that
Wouldn’t judge her at all, that’s her style and looks like she put lots of effort into it. Thought when people have style it’s attractive, not offensive.
I don't see anything wrong with it. And I am black. It's just a hair style
To be honest I believe curly hair might fit you very well
that's not me by the way
it's not necessarily offensive tone but I would reccomend it cuz it makes their hair break
to me*
wouldn't recommend*
lol I got you
The hair used is from Asian sex slaves... Just typing
not all of it but ok
I'm sorry. What part of this is offensive? Can we appreciate how happy this girl looks?
OMG!! Now this "Racism" is going to how 'white' women wear their hair? FUCK OFF!! It has gotten out of control and now is becoming ANTI-WHITE RACISM!!!
I don't think it's offensive at all!! Maybe she likes her hair like that. She should wear it anyway she wants to.
No offended. I assume she liked rap or something. I might even think she had some African blood in her, even though she's really white.
Oops, I mean not offended
It's not offensive to me, but I do think it looks bad. And white girls don't have the type of hair for it because the hair is too silky.
Why would her doing this being offensive? I mean, it is not like anyone is offended when black women straighten their hair?
Crazy first world problems...
They get offended and jealous by the way 😂😂 black women are just too exotic to handle.
“Exotic”... not sure exotic would apply anymore since black women have become a pretty common site in the Western World these days. As for the the jealousy and handling aspect, I’m not sure in what regard you are speaking towards.
You just look funny with them. They usually dont look good on white people. But ignore those dumb black chicks they always angry. If they say something to you snatch out they weave
If somebody is offended by your hair, that's their problem.
I am a white woman and I see nothing wrong with a white woman wearing her hair anyway she wants to ! thanks
why would it be offensive. is it offensive to black chick dyes their hair to 'lets say yellow' why would it be :D
its hair.. we did have hair since the dawn of men..
scandinavian woman always used braids like this..
It's fine.
And those comments about braiding the hair is bad for God fearing women... well, fellow Bible students I know wear their hair in braids a lot and are never shamed for it in the community.
Agreed
We have seen artist changing their hair, we have seen a lot of things. So at this point I will just say Happy you have time for yourself. Take care 🤗
It looks good... or it does not.
Offensive?
Only morons get offended by hairstyles.
Someone getting offended by hair offends me.
F them.
One moron already
Why is that offensive? Anyone who finds a haircut or do offensive, is a retard.
Even as a beta cucked soy boy leftist i do not care about people privately wearing hair styles not established by their own race
not anymore offensive than black women straightening their hair, dying it blonde, and wearing coloured contact lenses.
As a person of colour, it is not offensive for a white person to wear box braids. Why should it be offensive? Geez!
I am not a "Black" woman. But I would think most don't really care much. Can't really speak to or for African or Caribbean immigrants.
Whoever said a human trying a hair Style or doing anything with their regular fashion sense is ignorant people can wear and dress how they want were all human no color of people own a damn style
They don’t mean any harm by it I don't know I don’t think it’s offensive just a little cringe but it’s their hair + life so
Why would it be offensive? Braids existed since ancient times in many cultures. Is it also offensive for thr Japanese if a white person wears a kimono?
Why would it be offensive? Its just a hairstyle? Is this something only americans find offensive again?
liberal americans
I don't find it offensive but I've heard many sad stories from Black women about how they've been reprimanded at work, school etc about their hair. I can imagine some of them may be bothered by a white woman wearing it.
None. What people don't like is that white people somehow get credit for it when the black community is known for it. Same with loop earrings i think.. Black and latino for loop earrings.
Who cares about some random girl's hair? Don't people have anything better to do.
I don't think it should be offensive, I hate the "cultural appropriation" argument. Haven't heard a reasonable angle on it yet.
I don't see why it would be offensive to anyone? It's just a hairstyle. 😳😐
As a white male in his 50's I probably won't respond favorably. Mainly because I love nice hair. Sexy hair is a huge turn on for some guys and dreads, especially on a white woman, eh-eh!!
Black men are shot and beaten by cops and this is the shit you're worried about? French women have been braiding their hair for centuries. Well before the USA even existed.
Your choice your body don't worry what people think
Wear what you want but it looks like a lot of work for what.
Offensive wot? Do what you want... I doubt many really care?
Very offensive. A white chick should stick to pony tails.
It's not offensive; it's just not an attractive look.
Da fuq,? How does a certain hairstyle employ all this?
Wear it, it doesn't matter. People will always judge u no matter what u do. Better be judge being yourself, no?
Judged*
Only some racist idiot would call doing this too your hair offensive.
I don't think it offensive at all it just a hair style.
if someone finds this offensive, they shouldn't have gotten out of the "safe space"... seriously. people should get their shit together.
I mean… It’s offensive that she thinks it looks good on her. But that’s really it.
It can be considered cultural appropriation, but the modern day ages have adapted, buzz cuts are gender neutral now and I feel like cultural appropriation will adapt into a "EvErYoNe CaN dO iT" thing.
It’s just hair. People need to calm down jheez. Wear your hair however the hell you want.
Not offense at all. Also some white people like me can even grow dread locks naturally. My hair is so curly that some of it has turned into dreads itself.
Cultural appropriation is bull shit. If anyone ever tells you your hair is appropriating thier culture, tell them you speaking English is appropriating your culture
Easy for a gringo to say
In Hispanic by the way
Well dang ig im the asshole ill admit... I just I don't know i have a lot of issues even towards my own people... my bad dude ill delete my reply real shit
