Would you like to see the Washington Redskins change their logo and name?

I will be truly sad if they did. A Washington Redskins hat was my first hat I had brought as a little kid because I loved the color and the Indian man on it. Don't change the logo nor name of the team. This bending the knee to appease has to stop now!

A name change I could do, as much as it would be awkward since the name "Redskins" is all that I've ever known. Several native groups have stated that the name is generally accepted as a pejorative, and therefore offensive (we don't have a team with black uniforms called the "[insert state name here] N****rs," right?). If they were advocating the complete dissolution of the team or suggesting that the team owners should pay reparations, offering public apologies or something like that, I would be more inclined to say that it's going too far.

I would ask the chiefs of the Indian tribes of that area to decide if they want the name changed or not. If they do, then they can give suggestions but the team picks and it could be something like Redtails.
