Have you ever put rubber bands on your door knobs and do you think it serves a purpose?

Many people claim the rubber bands helps stretch the flexibility of the door. I doubt this is true but could be.

Have you ever heard of this happening and have you done it? If there is a purpose, what purpose would it serve?

I have picked up first answer because I do believe that it can have some purpose to it. I just personally do not necessarily know what that purpose could be. All I know is that I have done it when I was a child, but I only did it for fun. Whether or not it actually has a purpose I would not necessarily know. My guess is that you will use it to Ashley hold the stopper from actually closing and locking the door. Anything else is just my guess as good as anybody's.

That’s total bullshit. You put rubber bands on doorknobs to keep the evil spirits out.

It prevents the door from shutting close.

The rubberbands hold back the closing mechanism and therefore they can't shut and lock you out.

May also cushion the door, so you can't slam it and damage it anymore.

Maybe a good idea if you got kids or animals or live in a really windy area.
