Why do you hate the terms "alpha" and "beta"?

If a man who by and large embodies what's considered beta per the concepts I can understand why they would take issue with it. They have a vested interest in those ideas not existing.

What I don't understand are females who fight the idea of these existing. Alpha and beta are just terms used to defined a subset of character traits that are held by an individual.

There is no getting around the fact that all humans have a subset of character traits and that some traits in particular are considered more "Alpha" or "beta" than others.

It's like arguing against the term "outgoing" and "shy" being used. If someone is predominantly one or the other, then using the term is accurate to describe a reality.

Even if a shy person can be outgoing or an outgoing person can be shy. If they are predominantly one or the other they would be described as one or the other.

If someone were in the middle like most people they would fall on a spectrum leaning one way or the other slightly. Things being said like, "they keep to themselves" rather than saying shy or "he has a lot of friends" rather than saying outgoing.

No one questions those concepts because they're obvious. Alpha and beta are just as obvious but some people seem to take issue with the terms being used at all to describe an observed reality.

If a bear were running towards you to eat you, would you argue about people calling it a bear as a means to say it doesn't exist? That they should call it a dog instead and that would make you safe?

An animal is still coming to eat you.
