What Guys Said
First I have heard off it
I didn't know that was a thing till now, lol.
I am a part of few of these sites. They are non toxic places to discuss our problems.
... what a fair and totally not biased assessment of something you haven't investigated at all. #internetsarcasm
That's the definition
Reading someone else's' biased person's opinion of it and then regurgitating it doesn't make it *the* definition. It's *a* definition from people who don't like it, that's all.
Ok whats the definition of manosphere?
Define it?
Broadly speaking, it's just a big bunch of loosely associated sites that appeal to men's interests. It reaches back to the 90's with sites about cars, fishing, men's fitness, etc. You also find sites about masculine philosophy which links back to those other sides: As in, you might get masculine life advice like "focus on something constructive, here's a site about carpentry". The part feminists get pissed off about is that there's also spaces where they're negative about women. Those are the spaces that get painted in the worst possible light. It's *at worst* the equivalent of feminist spaces where they shit on men, but there's positive philosophy in there too. One of the more prominent "groups" (although they're not really a group, it's as loose a label as feminist) is MGTOW. They get shit on all the time with accusations of misogyny, but really it's a philosophy of self-ownership andd survival, it's about not staking your self-esteem on women's approval -- a problem that plagues a lot of young men. The MGTOW ideal doesn't hate women, it's about overcoming a dependence on them. Before they've reached that ideal, yeah they're in a dark place, but being MGTOW is putting them on the path to get past that.
So really, the biased definition comes from this tiny slice of what the "manosphere" is (only people hating on it really call it that by the way). And the characterization is hyperbolic -- as is needed to serve the political ends of the critics.
"promoting some forms of masculinity"
Yes. That's a good thing.
"hostility towards women"
It doesn't promote this.
"strong opposition to feminism"
Yes, also a good thing. Although you can find MGTOW feminists and such.
"exaggerated misogyny"
Also an incorrect statement, it doesn't promote this.
"The manosphere has been associated politically with the far-right and alt-right."
Also no.
They've been "associated" only in the sense that critics accused them of being far-right. That doesn't make them far right though. Not only do the critics not know what they mean when they say far-right, but these groups would be broadly centrist, mix of all politics, but with most guys being in the center. And the "alt-right" refers to ethnoculturalists, that's about race, not about gender/men. But you see how the game is played? Once they've been decided as enemies, the opposition drops every bad word they can against them: If there's men who want to do their own thing and not obey feminists, then they labelled every bad thing ever as if it will force them to comply.
*That* is why you find definitions such as you presented.
Not a made up definition 😭😭
K cool
Well i agree that men need to man up these days but not being hostile towards women
No, I'm simply too manly.
I have no idea what that even is.
Ah yes, when something isn't in favor of women, it's misogyny, hate, etc etc.
Right so men online saying women should be raped, and beat into submission. isn't misogyny? Right...
Sure, that's all they say. Compared to the number of women preaching to kill men openly, that's a drop.
Kill men openly. When and where? Also these men believe women should just be babymakers and stfu but its not misogyny...
Why can't you stop laughing? The word itself is not any more ridiculous than the word "feminism" which you sound like you're a fan of.
Im not a feminist you retarded ass bitch. The word is funny
Well what part of it is funny to you, skank?
The word manosphere is fucking funny and I picked that pic because pictures bring more traction you dog smelling mayo eating faggot
Sounds like incels and simps were.
You mean oshay duke Jackson? And Kevin Samuels
Especially them yuck
I don't follow the manosphere philosophy because its a bunch black incels who just mad that girls used them or The Gangsta black dudes get the chicks.
And now they older and have money they can buy pussy.
But they aren't real men without the money
Yesss I agree they are both sad men
Also oshay is harmless he just pimping and grifting off of lonely angry black men.
By doing BLACK TMZ.
Oshay not sad he has a channel about African empowerment called kengonda. And he employee black people.
They are doing what the Chrissie and I am elaho are doing.
Pimping black anger is easy money.
I don't hold those beliefs but I thought about getting in that market and just saying crazy stuff just to get people to watch.
Oshay channel revolves around bw and all the "wrongs" we do. I barely see videos encouraging men to get up and stop blaming others.
You can make money off angry black men. Just like Chrissie does for black women.
These people make money off lazy black people who are insecure
Lol no. I've never even heard of that.
Nope
Losersphere lol
What websites are part of the manosphere?
its not a real thing...
No, but I do have an issue with extreme feminism.
First time hearing about this
Oh no I'm staying far away from that shit
Are you part of the Black Sphere?
I believe in equality!
They grouping up now?
Nope.
Some of us are sane.
Nah, I like sexy babes.
You need to go outside more.
Never heard of it
No 🤦♂️
Meninism does exist!
Nope!
