Honestly, I would put rude and stern in 2 different categories.
You can be stern... without being rude.
In a workplace (or at home) that is just a sign of leadership
rudeness though..
tends to be due to a complex list of emotional issues.

I think there is a lot of truth to this.

I agree with your first point about superiority and overinflated egos.
I'm probably not alone, but rudeness is a massive pet peeve of mine and whilst some may disagree with me on this, I'd go as far as saying that some justify it by saying 'I'm blunt', 'I'm brutally honest' or 'I'm telling it how it is', which probably links in to the point you've mentioned above, that I agree with.
I also think it's not just a matter of a person's word choice, it's the way they say, it's the way they say it, their tone can say a lot.
Here's a analogy I've seen about a person breaking it down on here:
"Imagine if some asks me for some water and instead of me giving them a glass of water to drink, like a considerate person... I spray them with a fire hose! Now they're just cold, wet, confused, and it didn't even benefit them. That's kind of what being an arrogant idiot is when you're being "brutally honest". You obviously knew they wanted a drink, and even if they say "I just want water, I don't care about how you get it me."I say it truly revolves around context and the individual.
For example, are we talking spoiled kids or adults that have giant egos and take pleasure in being assholes to other because they can and want to feel superior? If so, then I would say these are the people that have never been punched in the face or have bled in a fight.
Now if we are talking in terms of people who may be socially awkward, ineptness or unintentionally rude because of certain words and tones, then I would say no. Sometimes people's communication style can be offputting by misunderstanding and not direct fault of their own.... example... customer calls says good job. Boss is happy.
Boss does a drive by... job looks great. Boss is happy.
Customer calls piss because of shitty work. Boss looses his shit cause he must comp the customer and still finish work.
Employee gets pissed because they are a "victim"...
Boss has to pay employee, comp customer, looses next customer to bad press. Sales fall, employee gets laid of because of poor work...
So who was wrong?
The employee... it all started with his shit work.Rude people are rude because they are bullies. They see rude more than likely because they think they are above everyone and everything.
They meet people that are usually afraid of appearing rude so they just ignore the rudeness or circum to their aggression.
It's a tactic to do and get whatever they want..Ah, the jealous beta-cuck. Grow a pair, and stand up for yourself. No one is 'whoopin' nobody for something said. Are you one one of those 'hate-speach' 'safe space' dipshits?
So, you turn over power over yourself to others. Got it. Dear lord.
Newsflash little pony - respect is EARNED. Not DESERVED. Nobody owes you anything - you get what you get for the effort and work you put in, just like everybody else. They may be rude because they never had a good role model growing up. Growing up in a bad environment, or even being bullied themselves. Gradually behaving as the people around them do, could be a reason. There is always a reason behind someone’s actions, it may be deeper than you presume. Though it could be that they just were allowed to act like that when they were younger, and were never punished for anything. Both are possible.
You probably think they are "rude or "stern".
Every dimwit teen and wage slave probably thinks their parents/boss were trained by Stalin. Until they meet real fucked up people that mean them harm.
Maybe try and understand what the game is, before you pass judgement on the content or person.
Sometimes the rudest and sternest tongues are the most honest and caring. Which is why they're giving you time and advise, instead of taking selfies of you suffering, and laughing at you.Stop being offended all the damn time. You ask of them pants make your a look big and I say yes then accept you asked. You don’t want the truth don’t ask and don’t be around me. I don’t have time to censor myself for your benefit.
Maybe they SEEM "Rude" or "Stern" because they have to deal with total FUCKWHITS, and DUMBASSES, all DAY! People that Jibber-Jabber CRAP, and annoy these, that are usually peaceful, loving kinds, but surrounded by IDIOTS and their BABBLE!!!
Not really, its more like people are rude cuz they make no one that actually shows the sides of "not being rude" so they dont really know how to, and those that do have someone and still are rude, its mainly becase they think it makes them more attractive/likeable :)
Yes, if you don't spank your children and they grow up spoil they become stern and rude jerks thinking the world revolves around their pathetic egos.
In a lot of cases, yes. Donald Trump is a perfect example. On the other hand, bullies tend to just pick on a different target after they've gotten a smackdown.
it doesn't take a spanking it takes a parent to be home
Sounds like a triggered poor excuse for a man who can't assert him self or get him self hard to fuck a girl unless he's dressed up in an SnM leather suit.
Nope just gjves them power trip to hurt people's feelings
Are you rude and very stern? If so, you're a narcissist.
It's more likely because they had too many whoopings when they were young.
Eww, imagine trying to normalize assault.
All it takes is to mouth off to the wrong person.
