I already looked up about this, if you read the whole thread about it Burger King had and still has good intentions.
I don't really know why they said "that" in particular, they could've left that particular sentence out and everything would be fine. They didn't need to say that in order convey the message that they wanted to get out.
I think someone inserted that sentence out of spite.
Now they're fucked.

Burger King was communicating it, so it matters what they mean by it.
All I know was it was meant to be about culinary education for women or something like that.
More importantly, what did Joe Biden sign?
I’d like to know what that is.
Also, aren’t we all equal regardless of what the government says?
According to Biden, POC kids who do really well can rise to the level of white kids.
The real question is who the fuck considers a burger flipper a chef? Who has ever dreamt of going to burger college and pursuing a career in sticking patties in buns.
The real reason so few women want to be chefs (real ones) is the hours are shit and unsuitable for raising a family.
I think they meant it as a bait. Poor taste but it worked

Burger King is just a SHTTY, ALL-AROUND POINTLESS place!! They SUCK, TOTALLY, and EVERY TIME I have gone there, they have OVERCHARGED ME, and TOTALLY FCKED UP MY ORDER!!
If I was starving, and had to choose a Road-Kill Skunk, or Burger-King, I would CHOOSE THE SKUNK, because they SUCK SOOOOOOOO BAD!!!- u
There was a lot more to it than just that, even though that was a piss poor attempt at grabbing attention.
The rest of the thread was about how professional female chefs are in the minority, and BK was setting up a scholarship for women who want to pursue a career as a chef.
Overall, a positive message, but with a terrible execution, as that first part is all that people are talking about. It was a tasteless joke, and someone should get fired for that. The context is right, the execution was wrong.
For woman's day they meant to say something positive. That some of the best chefs, award winning kitchens, food trucks, BK kitchens etc etc are run and owned by women.
But obviously they said it in a way that came across all 50's American.
The tweet has been deleted, but it just shows you are never too big to fuck up royally. It was a bad marketing move but it was about Burger King's support for women to become chefs. That wasn't a smart slogan though. Whoever came up with that should be fired...
An American company actually said women belong in the kitchen? Seems unlikely.
Don't you guys already have laws for gender equality? What does the new red tape bring?I think it’s funny, It was just a joke. They are rolling out a new scholarship program for women, to help them go to culinary school. They are doing a good thing... and wanted a way to bring attention to it.
I personally think it’s hilarious, but most people these days take themselves to serious... so they have 0 sense of humor about anything.I find it hilarious as a joke in context (it was part of a hiring campaign targeting women... Not sure it's producing the results they wanted but now everybody is talking about BK again). Now of course I know of BK's extremely bad track record of encouraging sh*thead behavior including vandalism and assault on political grounds (aka terrorism), so I'm still boycotting them until one of us dies.
Oh God.
Gender equality?
You mean like the WNBA wanting to get paid the same as NBA players eventhoigh they don't generate the same revenue.
Gender equality in 2021 is a joke. Lazy women just want hand outs.
It's a slap in the face to women who actually had to work to become something in the workplace.Women make good sammiches. Subway is probably a better fit :)
That’s a weird way of saying something. But it’s meant to describe how there’s a lack of women chefs. The restaurant industry is sexist against female chefs.
Sigh. I can’t believe this is controversial. Hmm maybe it’s because I actually really enjoy cooking 🤷♀️lol or maybe because it’s just not offensive to me.
"If they want to, of course," reads a follow-up from Burger King UK. "Yet only 20% of chefs are women. We're on a mission to change the gender ratio in the restaurant industry by empowering female employees with the opportunity to pursue a culinary career."
It's probably photo-shopped. Burger King isn't stupid enough to post something like that. It's ridiculous.
It's a misogynistic comment that Burger King management is, at this very moment, tried to walk back. I believe it was a hiring slogan to put more women to work in their restaurants. Someone didn't think this one through.
Most of the kitchen workers at Burger King are men 😂.

It means someone will get fired ar Burger King social media team.
Means a happy relationship. And he man will be the bread maker like back in 1960’s.
I’m starting a charity for corporations that dive stupidly news.
According to Burger King UK: "We got our initial tweet wrong and we’re sorry. Our aim was to draw attention to the fact that only 20% of professional chefs in UK kitchens are women and to help change that by awarding culinary scholarships. We will do better next time."
Excuse me? women belong in the kitchen, NO WAY IN HELL !!! i'm strong and independent, no one can assume that
