Should anti-vaxxers be deported for the greater good?

Back in the good old days the British government dealt with criminals by packing them on a boat and shipping them off to Australia. Now we're faced with another danger, anti-vaxxers. Not only do they spread their pseudoscience online they risk all our lives by becoming a reservoir for the virus.
I say the best way to deal with these people is to round them up and ship them out. I'm sure there's plenty of uninhabited islands we could use.

Well, that's a British problem. I suppose you'd send them to the US Southern border though as it is one of the weakest in the world. Ironically, if you sent enough white people it might cause our border policies to change, and for Nuevo Laredo to be more light-skinned.

Those good old days weren't too long ago when the British, and French were quelling insurrections and keeping colonies in line. It kept on keeping on after the end of Vietnam, and only got attention when African nations started worrying about their future.

You'd have to return to royalty rather than parliament, as people still have those pesky "rights" that prevent such actions. Of course, that includes the lockdown you're under now as well. So maybe do the same as most of the west has and just ignore those words like freedom, self-determination and what not.

I don't get why everyone is so gung-ho to have people who already caught covid get a vaccine. I have my positive test logged, the only thing a vaccine could bring me is negative side effects as I had the virus.

Could it be because many people simply do not trust the official sources of information about the vaccines being both safe and effective? You seem to be assuming that "anti-vaxxers" are all rabid conspiracy theorists who think it's just the latest plot by Bill Gates to depopulate the globe. Those people do exist of course, but most of us (yes, I'm an "anti-vaxxer" as well, if you insist on calling us all that) simply don't need it, because we're a) extremely unlikely to get the illness in the first place, b) won't even know we have it if we do, because we'll be asymptomatic, c) are not old, frail and already ill, d) understand that the official mortality figures are grossly exaggerated (see here: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/we-could-be-vastly-overestimating-the-death-rate-for-covid-19-heres-why/ ), and finally, the common flu prior to the outbreak of this illness killed literally hundreds of thousands of people each year and yet we didn't over-react and panic the way we have this time to what is, after all, a virus that has an approx. 99.8% survival rate.

Yes i agree that anti vaxxers are stupid, especially the dumb idiots who go around on anti lockdown protests, they deserve to die or go to hospital for serious cases if they get covid, they’re stupid and mess it all up for everyone else and impact other people’s safety and they’re incredibly selfish and just disgusting human beings with no brain cells, just arguing mindlessly about their civil liberties or whatever, they just be dumb if they don’t see how cases rose when we were out of lockdown and everything opened last winter and how things got better under lockdown and vaccines.

When Jenny McCarthy went on about how bad vaccines were, nobody wanted to send her to Botany Bay. Now the official liberal narrative is that Trump supporters are all anti-vaccine. This is total BS. The democrats said they would never take any vaccine that Trump got developed.
When I got my shot I had it done at a local football stadium. Maybe a thousand people were there. This is not very scientific but I would bet the vast majority of them voted for Trump.
This is still America and if people do not want to get vaccinated they have that right.

Some people who haven't got the vaccine yet, aren't anti-vaccers maybe they just want more time to ensure it's effective and what any long term side affects could be. And when I was at the hospital the other day (and yes covid negative) the things my nurse told me, it didn't sound like she had much faith in it's effectiveness. And why are people who got vaccinated getting covid, but the ones who haven't aren't🤔🤔

Sounds rather extreme. Your logic is dispelled immediately. If you have a vaccine, you yourself are safe regardless if others don’t want the vaccine themselves. People who are just blindly getting the vaccine are not any better than anti-Vaccine. It’s not even FDA approved yet. There’s a solid and logical reasoning as to why one might consider not getting one right away. Weigh out the risk and reward given your age and health. Then make a decision. I think it’s quite dumb just blindly take it right away if you’re healthy tbh.

The former - they have cured or prevented a whole slew of dire diseases, so anti's are just being dumb.

Now the covid jab is an experimental drug that modifies the rna of your blood cells. It was authorized under an emergency exception by the FDA. So it cannot be mandated, and the rigorous testing normally done for these types of things was waived.
So taking it makes you a test-monkey for an experimental drug. It is currently impossible to predict the long-term affects off it for the simple reason of TIME.

Worse, 99.6% of people that get covid recover without issue. 45% of all of the deaths happened in nursing homes. And people under 65 that don't have comorbidities have a 99.99999% survival rate. Please tell us why you would want to take an experimental drug when you're most likely to survive anyway? We're dying to know.

Nah most people I know who are antivax are young and at basically no risk of getting the virus and even if they do prolly won't have it long or bad. And aren't usually around people who are at risk unless those people also are antivax.

So I think the best thing to do is just get vaccines available to people who do want them, and try and avoid making anything else mandatory because that usually just makes the others really mad and even less cooperative. Best way to get them to cooperate in my experience is not to say they're stupid assholes and boss them around, and to assume their position and find some common reason to suggest cooperation instead.

I wish covid would stop being a tool used to divide everybody instead of bring everybody more together.

This is how our youth thinks. Fed false narratives by the corporate media and they just believe everything they say as if it were a fact. First, there are very few anti-vaxxers. They exist, but not in the numbers reported by the media. Second, people have the right to choose what they can do with their own bodies. And people like you do not have the right to round up those you do not like a send them away. If you got the vaccine than you shouldn't need to worry about the few who didn't or won't.

We should deport those who got the vaccines as they are a threat to others who didin't got the vaccine. A lot of people are brainwashed, thinking their government have the best interests for their citizens, news channels don't tell the truth. They got blackmailed. No everyone has freedom of opinion and freedom of speech. To be honest the anti vaxers aren't even the problem. The problem are pro vaxers because half of them had they done their research and been capable of thinking for themselves would see what the vaccines are actually doing to people.

The vaccines work the same as literally any other medicine or vaccine in existence.
Yes, believe it or not people have absolutely horrible reactions to a simple cold cough medicine. And die even. However that’s not all that interesting to the general public so it’s not what the media focuses on.
Obviously, when millions of people are taking a medicine there’s going to be reactions of varying degrees... be it people being allergic or other medicines in their body reacting to the vaccine etc etc but none of this is new at all. If anything it’s entirely expected. If you look at the actual numbers of people having those reactions of any kind it probably doesn’t even breach 0.001%. It’s just a media scare tactic that only takes a bit of common sense to realize is simply idiotic.

You could, but it's a slippery slope. The greater good can be interpreted subjectively and if you create a legal standard for the greater good, it could get out of control until it's used to put you at risk of deportation over something you care about. Subjectivity with the force of law is very difficult to limit.

No. the virus dies off with herd immunity. the virus spreading is a good thing because after people get it then they develop antibodies in the population. The worry should not be really very much at all. 90% of old people 60 years old and above have been vaccinated. The youthful have been having a 98% rate of recovery after getting the virus.
